The task is to create a databas based portfolio located in a thickbox, where you can upload projects ( incl. text png/jpeg images).

Currently we have a portfolio with a database but the problems are:
1. it’s too slow to load the portfolio cause everything loads at the same time 2. the old design needs update 3. We need an easy way to add new projects to the portfolio through the browser (a cms for the portfolio).

This is four main categories,
1. the first symbol (the factory) show all projects,
2 the second symbol (ipod box) is programming, 3.the third symbol (the eye) is communication, 4. the last symbol (the triangle) is design

each category will have sub categories = translation: kategori val 2

The portfolio will have a page index which should direct the user to correct page. (translation: Direkt sidbyte)

The big black page changing buttons should have an animated hover function, and grow out with mouse.

IMPORTANT: When clicking the page changing button the entire page (div) should scroll left or right and the new page should appear.
(u can use easyslider if u want)

The images that are shown in the overview should be shown depending on what category they are assigned to.
For example: IF design is chosen for main category, and sub category web is ticked, then the picture tagged with web is shown in the overview. IF user untick web, and tick branding, THEN the branding tagged image is shown for the same project.

Conclusion: each project can have different pictures shown depending on which sub category 2 is ticked.

Like in the project view the big black switch page button should make the page scroll left or right like the previous.

It is very important that the project design is nice and code is structured, so other programmers can modify it without problem.

Description
Needed is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) program to show nodes of a network up to 6th level in a directory structure.

How it works.

This is a retail marketing program that requires participant to invite their friends to sign to join the program. (inviting email is sent with a link in it). An invited person can only join after reviewing a product on a web link (on the same page in the email) and posting comments about that reviewed product. The system then allows this person to enter his/her personal information to register. This person is now put under the person who invited him/her, and so on up to the 6th level.

I member while logged in can see all members in his/her down_line, and how many points they have accumulated, and he/she must see own cumulative points at all times

A function (in a class form) that lets users invite others (by providing 6 to 10 email text boxes)
When someone registers, their immediate upline member (sponsor or inviter) is sent an email to inform him/her.

Registered member get points when they sign up others…in the following manner:-

1 Subscriber A signs up and gets 10 points which are deposited in general account.

2. When subscriber A invites/recruits B, 8 points get deposited in general account and 2 points deposited in A’s account.

3. When B invites/recruits C, 7 points get deposited in general account, 2 points get deposited in B’s account, 1 point gets deposited in A’s account.

I am searching for a database expert with experience using MySQL with extremely large data sets and implementing scalable designs.

The consult will be focused on the back end during development of a SWF facebook game that will store user data and track usage. Potential user exposure is reasonably conisdered to be in the millions.

Due to NDAs, Limited details on the application will be provided, rather general information and suggestions will be requested.

Requirements are:

– Detailed suggestions regarding hardware, setup and tuning of MySQL for very large volume applications.
– Thoughts re: scaling – how to cope with rapid expansion – database storage, RAM and querying.
– After a private consult and with further information : produce A ‘Dummy’ database design and sample import/processing code that : Stores and accesses user information, Logs play history and details, and provides management and Storage of giftable ‘prizes’.

Please Note : I have a lot of experience with development and database design for moderately sized systems, but have no insight re: transitioning into large and high volume applications – so please only bid if you have experience in the field.

Very little will be needed regarding the design of the SWF end application – this will have a focus on Database and performance.

When the visitor completes the form the keyword will be submitted to the database and remain attributed to that member’s nickname. I have a single web page with 1 product which sells at a fixed price. The cart is operated through Foxycart, using Authorize.net.

I need a simple php/mySQL affiliate script which will integrate with Foxycart (taking the data when a sale is generated), and which will do the following AUTOMATICALLY (<= important):

1. Register every purchaser as an affiliate (if they aren’t one already);

2. Send a configurable email offering them the opportunity to earn a commission by referring the product to their colleagues, friends and family;

3. Track sales, compute commissions, produce payment report;

4. Allow for tiered commissions;

5. Send commission report emails to affiliates.

There is no need for a complicated affiliate center with access to banner ads, marketing materials etc – just the generation of a tracking code than can be used in emails.

I need to have a stored procedure created where I take, on 15 minute intervals, data from a couple of tables and run them through a small formula, and update a series of records with the result.

Specifics are that two pricing tables (silver and gold) get a price update on 15 minute intervals, and those prices are “cleansed” and then applied to the relevant product records (those that are marked as either au or ag).

The code installs the SQL data into the database.

The host does not allow remoter SQL access.

PERL

Any code should have minimum, or better still, reduce), impact on the host server. (Shared host).

The code supplied functions with the following issues that require your fixing:-

When run the code displays aright at first but after about an hour the display goes blank, the code still runs even though the display is blank and the process finishes after about 4 hours.

The code have a lot of delays, (Perl sleep), and some disconnects, a delay, then reconnects this is done to reduce impact on the host.

The code has, (commented out #), a number for display messages to show progress during the install of the SQL data. These would stop displaying after about one hour and now a file is created as a record of progress. The code emails me when complete.

Once you fix the going blank display the progress messages would be uncommitted so that the progress may be viewed.

So your tasks are:

Stop the display going blank so that progress messages may be viewed.

Spped up and Reduce impact on the host.

Advice of I could remove the delays, (sleep), to speed up the progress while reducing impact on the host.

The code:

Prepare outside this code :Zipped SQL data are uploaded as zip files.

How the code basically works.

The uploaded zipped SQL files are uncompressed, one at a time.

The uncompressed file is read in one line at a time writing to a temporary file of 2000 lines, (reading in the whole file caused memory issues during local testing). This is done to reduce impact on the host.

The temporary file is then installed in to the SQL database using the >>>load data local infile<<< command.

This repeats until all the SQL is installed.
