I have a client who wants people to be able to signup and pay for sports camp membership online. I feel this could be accomplished quite simply by use of a simple submittable html form, combined with a redirect according to payment type. If they select “pay by credit card or paypal” there would be either embedded paypal button code OR it would redirect them to a “buy now” button. If they selected “pay by check” they would be redirected to a simple “thank you page” with instructions on where to send check. I suppose all I need is to have you write the code to add the payment option code (how to pay coupled with appropriate redirect) — alternately you can start from scratch. I use NMSFormMail currently if you need a copy of a sample form and form processor.

The job is an extension and update of existing invitation application.

1. Properties of existing application:
Relatively small and simple PHP application using PEAR (DB_Table, DB, Quickform)
Single-user admin interface allows admin to add members and send invitations (total: 4 masks)
Users receive mails and can sign up/deny event by clicking on a link (1 mask)
Specialties: Object oriented coded; Instance configured using a file;

2. Job scope:
I) Extension of application for multiple users
II) Fixing of currently existing minor bugs and adding a few features in application
III) Migration of libraries

3. Technical environment
Language: PHP 5.2+, Database: MySql, OS: Linux; Usage of additional libraries ok but must be discussed with buyer before

4. Deliverable
Fully tested PHP source code and database SQL queries – if bugs detected by buyer: need to be fixed within 1 week

5. Timeframe for delivery
Max 4 weeks from order (faster appreciated)

6. Details of work

I) Extension of application for multiple users
One instance of the application does currently only support a single admin user – the purpose of this task is to make it support multiple users.

This requires:
1. Creation of a user sign-up mechanism
a) Sign up page (Entry fields: Username, mail-address, password)
• Check whether username already used, quality of password (min 8 char)
b) E-Mail Confirmation Link
• Contains confirmation link and link for false usage (“I have not signed up with this mail address: Click here to delete account with this mail address)
• User can put in data before doing confirmation! Clicking on confirmation does enable user to have public profiles
c) Confirmation Page (after E-Mail Verification: logged in)

2. Replace currently existing file based configuration file with a web based version
Every user, who signed up is able to edit all the settings

3. Migrate current interface (4 masks) to multiple user support

II) Fixing of currently existing minor bugs in application
Minor bugs
– One configuration entry (color coding) does not work
– Duration interface in “New Event” should be improved
– Interface of “Event Participation” needs clean-up

Features
– Invited persons are able to edit their own personal data (make existing admin interface accessible in restricted way)
– It should become possible to reactivate cancelled events
– Welcome mail for added participants

III) Migration of libraries
– PEAR QuickForm is currently used -> should be migrated to QuickForm2
– PEAR DB currently used -> should be migrated to MDB2

7. Overall Requirements

1.All input data needs to be strictly validated (already done now – just preserve that)

2. Avoid using platform dependent functions/libraries

3. Current style of coding and structuring should be preserved; Code the application nicely – avoid ugly code! Use functions and object orientation; Code needs to be kept easily extendible and maintainable!

4. Store only password hash and compare hash

5. All functions need to be properly documented (described parameters/return values/purpose – like done in the existing app)

We have a running site for mobile users. We need some update in our existing website:

1. I need the TEXT ME bubble on front page, when clicked will take to a page where they there is HTML, the user enters his cell number and ” GENERATE ” then HTML with his cell number is generated, he can paste this code on a site and will show as a button, when clicked will open a window and allow his visitors to text him without knowing his cell number. or if it can work on facebook.

2. we need one image upload script to be integrated with the site. you can see ex at www.imgserve.net , it is a basic image upload script .

3. similar to TEXT ME button page , i need that webmasters put a code on their websites , so at their articles , blogs , websites they allow their readers to share the articles with other users, like stumbled on. And when clicked, the script (the html button) will open and will auto-populate the message with link to that page. Then the user puts his friend mobile and send him sms with that link. Also here like TEXT ME, they will get a code from our site to put on their blogs or websites.

4. For the SMS script, it is already working on sms.thelivemobile.com, we need to limit abuse of this script. so we need to allow users to send a certain number of SMS daily. This number we will set it in the admin. We can offer them to buy credits if they need more SMS sending. We can use PayPal to accept payments.

5. For MP3 Search Results, we will be using http://psychost.net/search/index.php?search=madonna&source=all script.

I am interested in doing a Dubli/swoopo project.I need to be able to change content on the site on a regular basis (i.e., the products that will be auctioned). I also need a complete back office tracking of all referrals, reports on what items sold for, email notification that I need to deliver the won item, payroll to affiliates, etc. The project requires a 5 level affiliate program. A person can choose to be an affiliate. The affiliate gets an agent area to track referrals, earnings, etc. plus 100 bids to hand out to customers. Affiliate payout is .25 per bid on referred customer.

I need an xcart solution. I may need a custom xcart module made. I’m willing to pay $150-200 for this. I must be done in 7 days or less.

Basically I’m working with a client who uses xcart. The programmer they use has never used xcart so he is struggling.

Here is there issue AND NOTES:

Got shipping options already but not really good value for money for rates
Only have a couple of couriers at the moment

Current Solution:

Fixed prices for shipping, not using weights?

Proposed Solution:

Under 1k… 3 shipping options (One carrier, and a few others – see “Task ID 84” in estimated tasks at the moment)
Over 1k… 1 option (because they have a good rate with APC)

God all the weights in system but they are right being used.

New rates need putting in for under and over 1k in Jan (interrim solution)

Overseas is a flat fixed charge. Need to have a system for best prices overseas… so can use parcelbroker.

*Ideal solution however with the carrier. Account with this will go off to different companies and pull out the cheapest solution.

One solution may be Maybe to create a custom xcart module.

then… the carrier send back information (xml again?) with the options for postage they automatically find the best rates for you for interntional orders now the intention i believe at the moment is to do this for international orders only at the moment (because kicksport signed a contract for 3 months with a uk provider) but…. i think the plan would be to have uk prices showing too so that there was an opion at least to customers i need to confirm that

Boxing Algorithm to Calculate How Many Boxes are Required

there was some decision to be made about “BOXES” there is a calculation that needs to happen on our side that works out what happens for multiple orders appparently there is a sort of algorithm we can work out that helps us do this from the carrier
can help here but you will need to action/understand whats going on

so the idea is if a customer order 20 belts it can probaly go into one box all good but if they order 50 head guards itll need more – obviously based on the units size

so our end, there may need to be a calculation that works this out

The Facebook app should capture images of any page on Facebook and save as jpeg then would post/share a message to Facebook update and friend update with the image captured.

Hi,

I have these old custom php scripts I’m trying to get working… Yet, they don’t seem to be parsing because of the way they are written.

Instead of statement being written like this…
<?php include”templates/footeradmin.php”; ?>

they are written like this..
<? include”templates/footeradmin.php”; ?>

They will not parse without me adding the “PHP”. There are thousands of these files, and I don’t feel like updating manually. I assume there is a server, apache or php.ini configuration setting that will allow me to parse these files in the original format.
…

Of course I could just do a search/replace… but I would rather not.

I’m running PHP 5.2.12

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
