For an existing holiday rental website with static html pages I need the following:

1) set up of a database in 3 languages (I will supply foreign language info)

Javascript Top Friend Selector
Previously I used Buddy Zone for a social network I created. I hired a programmer who used some javascript tools such as scriptaculous. He was able to make a method for my members to move around their friends and save their ‘top 8’ friends. It worked really well.

I have learned some PHP/MySQL/Javascript and coded my own social network. The site is nearly complete but I am having a very difficult time re-using some of the code from my old site on my new site that I hand coded.

Part of the reason is because the previous programmer felt it necessary to store the member_id’s of the person’s top 8 friends in a separate table. The programmer made the script explode the column that stored the user’s top 8 friend member_id’s…

Long story short he made it very inefficient. I’ve tried on several attempts to get it working and am not having any luck. I have a very small budget which is why I do my own coding now. If I can find someone who can do this very affordably, I will choose your bid, otherwise I will continue to attempt this myself.

Just to quickly summarize, users should be able to drag their friend’s pictures into one of 8 different spots, thus creating their top 8 friends.

I already have the code that worked from my previous site, although it will need to be modified to work with my coding. It should be easier to work with my coding as I am storing the friend positions (1 thru 8) in the friend’s table row.. No need to have multiple tables. So while retrieving all friends you can easily order by top8 spots… To update a friend’s top8 position, only the friend’s rows will need to be updated, no second table.

Would like to spider and clone selfgrowth d-tcom, and put the articles into my own articles directory.

Your script would spider their directory, and pull in: name of author, the full article, and the author’s bio. Then it would put that information into my own articles directory.

I had a programmer install a script called Articles CRM. We customized a few features and the templates, but no major changes.

Articles CRM uses a mysql database on the webserver (we use host gator to host our sites). Articles CRM is written in PHP and is easily customized.

Important: I’d like to be able to run an update once a day to see if any new articles have been added to the original articles directory, and then spier them and bring them over to my articles directory.

If possible, I would like your coding to create an account on my directory for each individual author. And then create a random generated password. Then any articles that are spidered by the author on the original directory, would now be added to this author’s account that is now created on my own directory.

Article Directory
I am aware there are many article directory scripts out there already but I can’t find one that 100% fits my needs (mainly in regards to the articles being image intensive). I don’t mind if you create something yourself or if you modify an existing script. Please let me know via PMB what script you plan on using and if there is a license cost let me know how much.

I am creating an article directory in the automotive niche. I need a side menu with at least three levels of submenu (editable from backend). Clicking these links should list all the available articles for that category on the main section of the page. Users can then click these articles to see them in the main section of the website. The database should be searchable.

Users submit the articles, many of which are image intensive. So there needs to be a good system where the user can upload images easily as well as text. (Please note I want to host all the images, I don’t want images linked from photobucket etc)

Otherwise standard directory features are required (backend, search, rate the article, etc.)

The site doesn’t need a fancy design for now, just basic, neat and functional will do. (Although if you want to do the design as well let me know that your price includes it)

I anticipate PHP/mysql being used but please feel free to make any other suggestions.
