Site Development In Magento

New Site Development.

Business Needs:
The Intended outcome of this project is to create an E-Commerce website based entirely on a CMS(content management system). Keep in mind that we have an Existing E-Commerce website although we will be using an entirely new design as well as a new backend system.

Project Objectives:
Our Object is to create an easy to use and affective E-Commerce site. We would also like to incorporate many web 2.0 features. We understand the time it takes to construct a site of this magnitude and we are looking to complete the project in a timely fashion

Project Content:
Currently we are using Miva Merchant, But we will be transferring over to the most recent version of Magento. The basics of the project involve heavy knowledge of the Magento Backend.

As well as custom Modules. As well as possibly needing to build upon existing Modules.

As stated in the Project Objectives we would like to incorporate a few web 2.0 features that we would use in multiple locations. There are examples of all web 2.0 features in the design comps, A few of the features would be a light box function for photos as well as pop-ups for certain menu options. We currently have design comps for all pages and most of the web 2.0 features. If Needed Further comps can be made available.

We want to migrate our current website to Magento with some additional features to be written by the development team we award this project to.

We have a ecommerce store that is basically html/php pages that have miva code to tie into Miva Merchant 4.0 backend.

We are very SEO conscious, so we want to keep existing URL’s and redirect them to the new pages generated by Magento/CMS. We don’t want to lose any of our Page Rank or relevance.

We believe that Magento can handle the entire project, but are open to integration of Magento and CMS’s.

There are 2800 pages that exist on current site, 85% of those are Gallery Pages, the rest are content pages

Order Acknowledgment

I have an oscommerce based e-store. It is a digital media download site only. The problem I have is when an order is placed and purchased I will get a paypal acknowledgment email. If the buyer hits the return to merchant button and returns to the site for downloading and downloads it ok ,I will receive an order acknowledgment from my site sent to my email. I have it set now for 2 download tries. If the buyer returns to the site and tries to download the file and messes up for what ever reason, I cant add another download attempt to his order. Also if the buyer dont hit return to merchant and comes back to the site by other means and logs in to his account it dont show up as he ordered anything so there is nothing to download at all.also I dont show he has purchased anything either. Any solutions available?

Finish My Site

I need my site finished that wasn’t completed… sadly.

I need my logo and menu to be moved to the left a little, the drop down needs to have rollover effect, when they are on that page in the menu i need that page to be highlighted.

I need the search function working.

HOmepage where the images are there, the border on the rollover needs to be a bit more thicker and the footer shouldn’t be touching the gray box.

On the homepage the “learn more” needs to be a link

same with “theme shop”
and “ads by waldio”

those should also be an a includes file includes/homepageright.php

the inner pages need to also have a rollover for the menu on the right hand side check jpgs i send –
those also need to be an a includes file includes/[page]right.php

the small banner and the one at the bottom need to be managers so i can add 600 or so and have them rotate, i also want
to be able to delete ads on that side.

G Analytics / Rankings

I would like a script with two functions.

Function 1: This function will take two parameters: domain and keyword. It will return the rankings in each search engine, using API calls to Google, Yahoo, and Bing. No scraping allowed!

Function 2: Using the Google Analytics API, login and get a list of all keywords delivering traffic for the last 30 days. Loop through the keywords, calling function 1 to display the rankings next to the keywords and traffic numbers.

Php/cms Form Help

I have a site with custom php cms
Before the site went live the cms had insert and edit form links(icons), now after going live the form elements in the cms wysiwyg editor are gone and the form on the page does not work, instead it returns an error that says: Invalid Execution, The way you found this page was invalid, please try again.
I am looking for someone to fix this asap, but don’t change the content that is on the page with the form, everything needs to stay as is, just make the form elements in the cms come back again and make the form work again.

Oscommerce Rma Module 2

I need help with finishing my RMA module install. I have installed Oscommerce 2.6 RMA Module to my website. I have installed this fresh 4 times now, however there are some missing codes or scripts that are not being retrieved properly(I believe). I have managed to fix most including SQL missing items, but now I need the final touch.

1st Problem – On the client website side – Return Product information can not be seen as well as the billing & delivery address is missing.

2nd problem – On the Admin side, again return billing & delivery address are missing. However, all other modules show this no problem.

3rd problem – An RMA number is created by the client and is shown in Admin, however the number is not editable on the admin side or trackable from the client side.

That is it for now…, untill I clear this section up I don’t know if there is anything else wrong with this module.

Custom Magento Tax Extension

I need a custom tax extension for Magento which calculates taxes based on city instead of zip code.

From the back end, the extension should look and function very much like Magento’s built in Tax Zone/Rate engine. However, instead of fields asking for zip code, there needs to be a field asking for City.

Also like Magento’s built in Tax Rate engine, I need to be able to import the tax rates via a csv file.

The main focus of this will be for the US state of California. However, there is no special need to limit this extension to only work for California. I would simply import tax rates for California.

This project needs to be complete quickly so please only bid if you have experience with Magento and have done done similar tax related extensions before. Even better would be if you have already done such an extension for someone else already then I would simply buy the extension from you.

Automatic List A-z Vbulletin 2

The product is an a-z List ,it works with the topics,when someone creates a topic in automatic the name(with link) of this topic is in the a-z list .

Mysql/php Project

I have a small MySQL/PHP project here with the possibility of more work later.

The concept is a site where a few trainers can enter in testing results for their athletes into a database. The athletes will then be able to log into their account and compare themselves to other athletes in the same area, country, and other countries. The trainers also need to be able to log into their own accounts and look at the athletes results to determine what the athlete needs to do to improve.

The idea is to have something similar to the Nike SPARQ system which you can see here:

The difference being it will only be for 1 sport (hockey) and probably not quite as fancy (I believe that they spent way too much on making it look good and the actual system sucks if you have used it).

For now you would be bidding on the creation of the database as well as pages for logging in and basic functions.

The trainers need to be able to create athletes, post data, view athlete data, and compare athletes. If you can do it a system where a single athletes data is displayed on a page visually something like the SPARQ website that would be perfect (if you enter some fake data into the fields and do the calculate and compare you will see what I mean).

Athletes need to be able to view data and compare themselves.

Doesn’t have to be pretty I will be taking care of the template and visual aspects of the site later.
