Program Title: Your first OOP design
For the last six weeks we have been discussing object oriented features and concepts and have been writing code to support this. We have talked about inheritance, composition and overloading. So far all the labs have been extensions of scenarios we have been discussing in the lectures and in the text. We also talked about how to recognize objects and how to go about designing our applications so that they would provide an efficient way to model the problem under consideration. This week’s lab will provide you all with a chance to prove how well these concepts have been mastered. You will be asked to provide a scenario which contains one base class, a child class (inheritance), a composite object within either the base or the derived class, at least one virtual function, at least one pure virtual function, and at least one overloaded function (polymorphism). In addition, your scenario should include at least one example of pointers and dynamic memory allocation, which was covered this week. The scenario will be of your choosing and may draw similarities from the examples we have covered so far but apart from that it should be of your own design (you may do internet research and read other texts to come up with your choice). Also try to make the code very simple as the emphasis is on trying to build a good object oriented program and prove that we understand the basics of its main features.
STEP 1: Create a New Project

Create a new project which consists of at least two classes: a base class and a derived class. The code of your project should include
• a composite object
• an example of inheritance
• at least one virtual and at least one pure virtual function
• at least one overloaded function
• at least one example of pointers as covered this week in class
• at least one example of dynamic memory allocation as covered this week in class
STEP 2: Construct Main Method

Construct the main method so that it will test each and every member function of the parent and the child classes.

This is to develop a corporate website with CMS… Our main goal is to obtain a clean, corporate and convivial website.
many page are to be integrated but the design should be simple and we should use only 1 template to display the content of 150 pages.

150 pages (roughly) website in both english and french. Total roughly 300 pages.

The site will need to have a good first page template with a small flash animation (simply depicting 4 different office of the business with the logo, the business slogan and 2 or 3 pictures of people front face smilling).

The inside template will need to be integrated into a CMS type such as Joomla, with blog such as WordPress.

We will select the candidate based on past realisation and scriptlance score.

I have 2 outstanding errors on a site of mine that was created using php. One of the errors only shows in Firefox browsers and the other is a button that is not working.

The site is www.iprotest.us

Error #1: In Firefox, the search box is not lining up correctly with the header buttons. I would like it fixed to line up.

Error #2: When trying to register a new user, the register button does not do anything.

These should both be easy fixes and I would like to get them done asap.

I can send the entire batch of php files or we could talk online on AIM or yahoo and you could tell me what I need to change by looking at the source code.

I need to transfer a website from pur HTML with a Forum to
Wordpress.
( website is http://xbarcelona.com )

As new Theme i need “Unsaid Words” from Vivathemes (already installed).
qTranslate is also already installed, so you easily could transfer the multilanguage content.

You have to :

– transfer all the content to wordpress pages and posts
– Every book should be inserted as a post, i will extend the theme, so you got special fields to insert to infos
– You have to integrate the theme for the qtranslate language chooser
– You have to extend the theme with a new color set

Some portions of this work are already done.

At the second step the forum must be transfered.
I need to use the “Forum-Server” Plugin for WordPress as new Forum-System. If you think bbPress is better, so please tell me, but it must be seamless integrated.

You have to :
– create a template for Forum-Server (or bbPress) that looks original like “unsaid words”.
– transfer all users and forum-entrys to the new forum plugin. Currently installed is phorum.
