I require a programmer to duplicate/copy our existing database to a new web address and to make some small field changes.

I am looking for a web Java web developer to add functionality to a new web site.

The site is coded using the following technologies and frameworks:

JSP and JSTL
Struts 2, Spring and Hibernate
Eclipse, MySQL and Tomcat

The is a web front end to a gaming site has several functions.

Attached is a prototype of the web site. This prototype should be used to give an idea of how the web site functions.

The XHTML/CSS and graphic design will be done by another programmer.

The coder should have good communication skills and provide regular updates. The additional code should be well commented and well structured.

The coder will need to understand the existing code to provide enhancements:

1) The tournament creator can delete a tournament. All invited players notified will notified by email that the tournament has been canceled. Please add a ‘delete’ action link alongside in the upcoming tournaments table (tournaments.html). This link will appear only for the creator of the tournament. The user should be able to confirm this.

2) When creating tournaments (and leagues) please allow the user to confirm the details before submitting. The details of the tournament or league should be displayed to the user. If the details are not correct the user should be able to go back and edit the tournament or league details.

3) Times for tournaments etc should be shown in the correct time zone. When the user is logged in the times should also be displayed in the users time zone. For non-registered users the time zone should be captured with javascript. A simple calculation should be performed to display the times of the tournaments in the users time.

Non-registered users should also be able to change their time zone via a drop down. This value should be stored in a persistent cookie. The actual time zone should always be displayed on the screen (above the tables) so that the user knows in which time zone the tournaments are being displayed.

4) There will be new functionality to enable users to create “leagues”. From a web developer perspective this is very similar to “user created” tournaments (tournaments.html) but the data will be held in a new database called ‘league’. The main difference is there will be a finish day and time instead of a start. Also there will be a checkbox to allow users who do not play all of their games to be excluded from the league. The screen layout and database schema is almost identical to tournaments.

Results for league matches will be displayed differently to tournaments because all players in the league will play each other (tournaments are knockouts). The player with the highest points in the league will win the league. A table will be displayed showing the position and points of the players in the league and how many games played. Users will be able to click through and see a list of the games for that player.

5) Fix an error in the “regular system generated” tournaments results (tournamentdef.html). This this error is schematic due to the misunderstanding of the data by the original programmer.

6) The current site requires the user to validate their email address when registering with the site (by clicking on a link from the email address). The site should also require users to validate their email address when the user is changing the email address.

I am open to suggestions on how to do this. I want to add products/items into a database system. I want to use excel to manage a file like a CSV file add the additional items and re-upload the file using phpmyadmin.

Like I said, I’m open to suggestions on how to do this. I have looked at programs that will convert Excel to MySQL and all of that but I think those are way to hard to deal with because I don’t have all the info needed to connect to the server/database.

I’m not apposed to some kind of program/script to make this easy for me. I’m dealing with one single table from the database not the entire database.

Don’t tell me you’re ready to start this project, tell me what you’ll do for me and how easy this will be for me in the future. I don’t expect you to tell me how to do it or do anything without getting paid for the help or the info. Telling me you’re ready to go without some explanation on your part isn’t going to get you the job.

I am looking for experienced persons or company in developing MYSQL Databases and admin sections for sites.

My site will be a whitelabel site and I require an admin section for:-

Whitelabel Network MAIN SITE
Freelancers where they can administer there account
Affiliates where they can edit their account
Webmasters where they can edit their account.

Basically the requirement is creating forms and interacting with MYSQL database.

Ideally programmed using OOP method but I am open to suggestions.

Please take the time to fully read this before you consider the project. I am not willing to pay over 50 for this project. No matter who posts the bid on the project, i wont pay over 50. Simply because I have done jobs on here and I know that this project is capable of being done efficiently for 50 or less.
What I need is a typed out MYSQL database query.

IMPORTANT TO READ!!

Because there is a lot of competition to complete this project, I have decided to scan a paper on the full details of how I would like this project completed. Please take the time to go over the document and give me some feedback. I know you are capable of coding MySQl, but please tell me what you feel can work, what cant work, changes that may need to be made such as another query to make another table or two for book needs and books that the customer already has. Tell me if this is only capable through a relational database.
The response to this email will be the one who is rewarded the project. I would like this detailed and explained.
Also, after the last \”Note\” at the bottom of the second page I mentioned odd man out. The odd man out is the guy who has given a book for none is return. Its the goal of the database to find that odd man out at least one book that he needs from someone else and then repeat the same for the next odd man out. Lastly, we only wish for the odd man out to be losing one book. If the odd man out has lost one book and the database cant find him one then we move onto the next customer. These queries are meant to go each customer with Query 1 first, going in order, then Query 2 and then any other matching technique possible.
Feel free to give your feedback. Can this all be done in one Query? Will multiple Queries be needed? Private message me, email me… what ever works. I would like a detailed explanation on how you feel about completing this. I know that all of you are capable of completing this, but I am looking for someone who stands out. We are starting up a new Moveable Type installation (Movable Type 5 Pro using MySQL)

At the point of creating an Admin login in the installation:
“Create Your Account
Please create an administrator account for your system. When you are done, Movable Type will initialize your database.”

However, after this step I get this error message:
“An error occurred
Can’t open theme directory”

We have tried setting the directories named “themed” and “themes-base” to file permission 777, but that did not help.

I need an application to perform quite a simple task.

(A) Must work under Windows XP and over and on Windows server 2003 and over
(B) Need an open source database
(C) Must have a code to be installed on a computer
(1) The application will permit to create an unlimited number of set of items.(estimed between 30 and 40 sets)
(2) Every and each item will have a code (letters and/or numbers) and will have a numeric value (estimed between 400 and 500 items)
(3) Every set created will have a numeric value
(4) Equivalence must be permitted ( UREA = UREE or POT = K or NA = SOD …)

A user will pick a non specific number of item in the list of (2) and the application will try to match the closest set
and compare the value of the sum of each item and the value of the set. It will provide the lowest value.

Let’s have an example:

I’m looking to get developed a digital protection solution for small business who sell 1 or more products ( i.e software, pdf, exe ebooks, epub, etc )

You must have experience in developing applications and having them work with an online environment like mysql database

I wish to mention I have seen a small business online offer a product similar to what I want created so I can provide excellent information on what is possible. Theirs only works on windows and they offer it as a service, meaning they provide a piece of software that lets you lock your products and make them only unlockable using an access key licence which is generated after purchase using a registration form. They also allow you to take existing products and turn them into trials that lock after so many days. So theres is a mixture of Software and files on a website with i think a database for storing licences and sales information

Now I am looking to offer something similar to people but it would be a one time product ( not a service ) and mine would work on windows and mac computers and the licence part would work on the server of my customer. So that when they deliver their products to their customers, it checks their server not mine for things related to the licence which grants them access to the product.

I want the software portion of it to work on windows, and mac computers with the possibility of linux too but mainly windows and mac.

Upon install it would install software and files on their website which would work hand in hand with the software to protect digital products.

I’m not sure what would be the best to have it coded in, though I am leaning towards Adobe Air because of its cross platform abilities i.e having 1 file which can be downloaded and used on windows, mac and linux instead of having to offer 3 files to download.

Obviously though I am open to other suggestions

It will need to look cosmetically professional, so I need to know that you have created software before. If you are able to show examples that would be great too.

Now just to let you know what I have done ahead of time is create a flow chart in mindjet manager to show you how this other business windows version works from sale to locking software to once the end customer gets a product. I can provide that to you.

I Have then created another flow chart based off the first detailing how mine would slightly differ. I aim to make sure that everything is nice and clear and wish to work with a programmer who wants to clarify everything before moving ahead. I can provide that too you.

Now obviously because I first have to establish if Adobe Air is the application to create this in or if it should be something else, I will need to know that first and then I would have to change my flow chart slightly before showing you. So that way there is no confusion and you can bid more accurately.

I will of course go into much detail, but first I need to establish if this can be done in adobe air, if not why not and what is the alternative?

I also need to get a rough ball park figure from you of what it would cost to have it made, obviously based on the general details I have given above. This might mean you placing a placement bid
