Timer Problems 2

javascript based timer keeps freezing up so

I need someone who is a javascript expert to go through this timer line by line and optimize it, this timer is a central component to my site and must be rock solid. It would be best if you also know a good amount of php and sql and the realtion of all three together. Also you must have a through understanding of cron jobs in relation to running a php file.

you will be required to document everything you do
every file you touch must be baked up and provide to me seperately
basically i want to know what went wrong where

you will have ftp access only

dont reply with your portfolio and i dont care if you have 0 reviews or 5 zillon I just want to know you can do it , you can do it now, this shouldnt be a big job for someone who knows what they are doing shouldnt take more than 1hr. I want it done right the first time though so if it takes a wee bit longer i understand. if you fix this i may have more work for you on this same site as i want to add some things to it.

Dotnetnuke Project

I’m willing to pay $250-350 for this work. I was going to pay $150-200 for this work, but I have tight deadline. This needs to be done in 16 days or less. I’m paying $50-150 more because of the tight deadline.
I need an online subscription magazine site made that remakes a companies site. It will be made in DotNetNuke consistent with sort of news site sort of look. I’m going to buy a template for the site for you to modify.. You will just have to chop up the psds they made. Most of your work will just be programming maybe 5% design. The Site should accommodate free and subscription-based content in various formats, including HTML, PDF, RSS feed, video and/or audio. The site should also be easily maintained by Peopleclick Authoria personnel without need for IT support.

2. Place all available text and graphics on site and require subscriptions as appropriate. Work with EEO Source team to perform any necessary modifications to complete project.

3. Convert 13 minute video on WebEx server to appropriate format and place on site.

4. Create menu buttons at top of page and link to content: Home, Editorial Advisory Panel, News, HELPLINE, Training, Webcasts, Contact Us.

5. Transfer rotating Webcast banner from existing site.

6. Create teasers on front page from articles and other available content.

7. Content should be searchable via a search box.

8. Front page should have “In this issue” box.

9. Customers should be able to purchase a single article, monthly subscription or annual subscription based on Subscription Level 1.

10. Customers should be able to purchase a higher level subscription to access additional content such as HELPLINE based on Subscription Level 2.

11. The solution will generate links for all subscription-based content that can be transferred to other applications, such as an e-journal.

12. The appearance should be consistent with a magazine-like design.

13. The design should made in a way that it will allow for an online store in the future. This year or next they are going to add an online store like functionality to it.

14. The signup and registration proces will use WorldPay(PayPal) merchant gateway and depend upon which subscription they go for
15. They are going to connect the site to Pivotal which they have used in the past or they are going to connect to salesforce and need you to custom code it to match some of the functionality of their old Pivotal functionality. IF they use salesforce I’ll pay you $50 more to make install it and change it to work like their old Pivotal crm. Now if they just stay with Pivotal. I’m not paying more for you to connect that. That’s part of this bid.

Important note: While I’m getting these designs done for each page you will need to work and do programming. You’ll just have to make some plain dotnetnuke design and do most of the programming. Then take the psds I have made an put them into the site. Since the deadline is so tight I can’t wait for the psds to be done for you to start work and I need to see your work each day on the server.

Also there may be some small parts to do that are outside this description. If you can’t do those without asking for more money then don’t bid on this project. IF the parts are totally outside the project I will pay you more, but if they are small then I’m not paying more for small additions to the work.

Multiplication Test Java

Re-write online maths test

This is a simple java test page for the multiplication tables

We would like to expand it to include 11 x 2 and 12 x 2.

We would also like to double it in size so a second set of questions are asked for example if we ask what is 3 x 2 in the in question 1 in question 13 we would ask what is 2 x 3 ie same question just back to front.

The same task is required for the twos through to the 12 times tables.

We would like to modernise the look and feel as well to match our new web site: so the selected programmer will need to add some stylish buttons, make the answer boxes line up in a column, make a graphic for the roll over clue and get the alt tag to work properly etc. perhaps a border etc.

If that requires a re-write in another code, we are happy to see a price proposal.

All existing code will be supplied at the start of the project.

Test the page in the latest ie and firefox etc.

See the attached pdf for full details

Quick Tip: 10 Things To Do Before You Hit Record

While it can highly tempting to jump right into recording, great recordings (just like great paintings, photos, books, businesses, speeches, etc.) come from taking time to plan ahead. The term “fix it in the mix” is the dangerous and should be banished from your vocabulary. Something that’s been fixed in the mix will never sound as if you got it right in the first place, and usually it takes way longer than if you fixed it up front. Here are ten steps to getting your recording right from the very beginning.

1. Determine Your Destination

Many songwriters approach recording like playing with building blocks: they start off with a foundation (a song that works well for their instrument and voice), then they add more blocks (other instruments) on top until it feels right. This sometimes works, but it can be hit and miss and can waste a lot of time adding instruments that will not be used in the end result. Decide what you want the end result to be before you do anything else. Knowing your destination will affect every other decision you make during the recording.

2. Review Dynamic Changes

Take a moment to look at the song objectively. How does it change over time. Listen for changes in volume, tone, intensity, instrumentation, rhythm, and key. A song needs some of these dynamics to be interesting. If the song sounds and feels the same the whole way through, it gets boring very quickly.

3. Follow The Interest

Listen to the song the whole way through and ask yourself where your attention lies during each part of the song. When the lead instrument (often the vocals) stops, what takes over to draw your attention through the song?

4. Bring In Fresh Ears

Bring in someone who hasn’t heard the song before and have them provide constructive criticism. If the arrangement is poor, or the song is too long, it’s better find out before recording.

5. Ask “What Is This Instrument Doing?”

Determine each instrument’s role in this particular arrangement. What does it have to offer to the mix? This will help you choose the instruments to use when recording, the mics you want to use, and the placement of those mics. If the acoustic guitar is only there to add sparkly high end, then you don’t need a full sounding guitar, or a mic with lots of low-end.

6. Look For Competing Instruments

Are those two guitars serving the same purpose? Are the guitar and keyboard playing the same riff? If so, there’s potential for them to get in each other’s way and conflict with each other. Solutions can include changing the arrangement (a different octave or rhythm for one of the instruments), choice of instruments (make one guitar part a Stratocaster, the other a Les Paul), or equalization (one deep and full, the other bright and present).

7. Subtract

Remove any instruments that aren’t adding to the mix. Also, remove an instrument if the conflicts from the previous step can’t be resolved. Once you’ve done that, remove any frequencies that aren’t necessary (if can’t hear the low end on that guitar in a big mix, cut the low end out. It’ll just add muddiness).

8. Find The Best Instrument For The Job

The key here is for the job. A concert grand piano may sound excellent, but it will likely seem out of place in a bluegrass tune. Similarly, you’ll rarely see a jazz drummer with a 28″ kick drum. Pick the instrument that works best for the destination you determined in Step 1.

9. Find The Best Room For The Job

Sounds an awful lot like Step 8, but the room you record in can make a huge difference to your recording. Even if you record in a home studio, there are plenty of environments available to you: living room, bathroom, stairwell, garage. Try different rooms and use the one that’s best for that instrument and how it fits into that song.

10. Experiment With Different Mics And Placement

I can’t emphasize this enough: take the time upfront to find the perfect mic and placement. If you take the time to get this right, mixing will be done as simple as pushing up the faders. I know this is repeating myself, but ban the phrase “fix it in the mix” from your studio.

Creating Personal Character Designs with Precision

Designing a character can apply to both personal and professional projects. The character can be a mascot that works in the context of a multi-national brand, or it can simply be inspired by a well-known character within pop culture. The later is usually referred to as “Fan Art.” The character “Mickey Rat” first appeared in the early 1970’s as a subversive underground comic that I enjoyed as a kid. Many artists over the years have taken their own approach with the character, and this article goes over my creation of this vectorized vermin.

Why I Believe in Pricing Work Based on Value

For freelancers, the question of how to price your services is always up for debate. Should you charge by the hour or per project? What should your hourly rate be? What type of payment terms should you require? The answers to these questions will vary based on your industry, your reputation, and your personal preferences for your business. But there is one thing that I believe should factor into every pricing decision you make:
Price your services based on value.

Setting Your Standards as a Freelancer: A Few Suggestions

Having standards is important when you’re trying to find and work with clients on your own. It’s surprisingly tempting not to stick to your standards: a quick project that you wouldn’t normally take can look pretty appealing if you’re having a slow month. But sticking to your guns can be important in more ways than one. If you take that problematic job, not only are you doing something that you don’t want to do, but you’re also likely to hand in work that you know isn’t as good as you could do. Even worse, that sub-standard job can take up the time you need to find higher paying clients, sticking you in a position where you can’t afford to move forward.

Project Auction Site

Hello
I want to develop a timed auction site.Similar site cliic.com .

Here are the details of what I want:

The script is an online auction game timed in 2 minutes, 60 seconds, 30 seconds.

Game Concept

An auction starts at 0.00 €. Each entry is asked to increase the starting price of 0.01 € and restart the countdown to 2:00 two minutes, 60 seconds, 30seconds (admin choice).
If nobody takes the hand before the end of the countdown, the last bidder wins the right to purchase the product at the quoted price.

The sale includes:

– PHP script (sale shop)
– The MySQL database
– The unique design
– The complete listing of pages (php)

Opening / Closing (optionally)

The auction is open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., so that is more just for members.

Since 23:30 games are in ‘pause’, it is impossible to bid, cons by the site remains fully accessible. From 8:30, the game is restarted, the last offeror remains the same and the price, the timer restarts cons by two minutes 2: 00, 60 seconds, 30 seconds.

List of modules:

– Registration
– Profile
– History offers
– Historical Earnings
– Purchase Credits (paypal / Rentabiliweb)
– Sponsorship + invitation mail
– List of godchildren of members
– Running games
– Upcoming Games
– Games are over
– Automatic Sniping
– Part complete administration

The script is automated

The script requires very little intervention

Here is a list of everything that is automatic:

– The opening / closing games 11:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
– The appropriations of funds when a member buys credits via paypal / Rentabiliweb
– The launch of a next game

This requires the intervention of the webmaster:

– The application to the winner to pay the sum of the prize won.
– Add a game (via the admin panel)
– Sending gifts (eg order on pixmania)

The admin panel (Administration site).

– Editing of members (name, credit …)
– Verification of Multi-accounts (ip)
– Add a game
– See the games in progress
– Launch a game manually
– Newsletter Module
– Module partner newsletter
– Statistics (earnings total nbr of members …)
– Commands manual (reset to 0, turn pause, turn off the break)

If the French language IS BETTER if possible.
I do not want swoopo script ready.
thank you

Flash – Flex Shopping Cart

We are needing an experienced Adobe flex & action script designer to build a Php & mysql shopping cart website.

These are Sites we like & would like to emulate – Not for the products, but for the way the items can be customized:

http://www.ateliershoes.com/design.php?shoe=2
http://www.accoladedesigns.com/exec/plaqueSummary
http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en_US/category/custom-shoes.html#/configureShoe

Please send examples of your work, but please do not send static ecommerce website examples. We need someone that can build in flex, and would like to see examples of that.

We are creating & selling custom plaques. The design will require different variables at each stage:

Custom Text message at one stage,
Text Size (up to 25 different sizes),
Font Choice (up to 12 different fonts to choose from),
Style Choice (up to 5 different choices to choose from),
Alignment Choice (3 different choices).
From there, we need to see a “Proof” of what the plaque will look like, and then checkout to the shopping cart with that information intact.

Will need a complete shopping cart solution
