Online Business Magazine
My client requires a remake of their existing website. The new site would be quite similar to the existing one, only with different parts to it, and would allow for people to register as members, and therefore access their account.

To try and be brief, here is what the new website would need to have:
• A homepage similar to the existing one, only with:
o key topics lined horizontally at the top
o new articles lined vertically on the left
o centre news piece that can change daily or weekly
o Become a member / sign-in banner or box on the right
o Search engine on top right
o Banner with link to a voting page, exact name on banner will change every month according to theme
• 5 different topic areas (linked from homepage’s top horizontal banner, that keep top and left bars with links to pages and articles):
o News/Articles (business week type magazine look and feel with top articles and new articles listed + search by category or keyword)
o Workshops/Trainings (various training events listed with possibility to book a place, also with dates in a calendar)
o Networking Events (networking events listed with possibility to book a place, also with dates in a calendar)
o Business Services (business and consulting services listed in 3 categories with possibility to request a quote)
o Members area:
 Home page for registration or sign-up (certain level membership will require approval by website managers) – free and paid levels of registration will exist, and questions will need to be answered as part of registration (profiling as well as preferences and others)
 If person is already signed up it shows their account page with their details and their business details which they may edit
 Membership status, which they can upgrade via online purchase (they can also choose to be visible to rest of network or not, which they can change at any given time)
 Members directory link to a list of members, that can be searched by category and via a search engine entering keywords. Each person in the list can be tagged or picked to “my network” area (a way to save a contact as a favourite) – few people highlighted (chosen by admin) per category – networking events will show on person’s profile if they have booked a seat (only networking events, not workshops)
 Members’ Businesses Directory link to the list of all businesses entered by members, that can be searched by category and via a search engine entering keywords. Each person in the list can be tagged or picked to “my network” area (a way to save a contact as a favourite) – few businesses highlighted (chosen by admin) per category
 “My network” link to list of picked members as per above
 “Request/messages” link to any request form other members to use their services or messages
 “my calendar” with view of events they have signed up for, and view of events available for them to purchase tickets or book (with link to booking page)
 “Forum” – link to forum where all members can discuss various topics, request help/ask questions, give news or link to events
• We will need 3 other pages linked from bottom of website:
o Contact us
o About us
o Work with us
• We will need an easy way of managing the content, uploading articles and adding/managing events from the events page (this can be a CMS or other if you have cheaper alternatives)
• Admin access to our members database allowing us to edit their details and accept/decline certain membership level requests, as well as promote some members to be highlighted in directory, and give recommended status/tag to their profile page
• Admin management of the “voting” page for the businessman of the month:
o Theme changed monthly (one election per month) – i.e. best entrepreneur, most inspirational, best web entrepreneur, best man in tech, etc..
o 10 men to be listed by admin for election every month with links to article about them and link to their website
o Automatic “show results” button at end of every person’s vote, with percentages only

Graphics For Joomla Template
I have an existing Joomla template that I am using, and would like to have variations of colors for my clients to choose from. The exiting scheme is blue. Joomla/wordpress Review Site
I am wanting to get a few sites built, this and a few others.

First, lets bid this project:

I want to build a review site which I have seen multiple scripts and plugins for Joomla and WordPress etc…

1. I want to build an all around review site on anything. You can use the cms of your choice as long as its not coded.

2. I want the template used to be unique and allow for multiple product reviews and comparisons to show on the front. I want it to rotate 4-5 reviews on the top 5 of any review category on related products.

3. I want all reviewed products to be built on sub domains like

hotel.reviews.domain.com
satellite.radio.reviews.domain.com
movie.reviews.domain.com

4. Need advertising area in the front on sides and in various areas

5. Want all product pages to be listed in manufacturer, categories, sub categories and page name as product.html

fast loading

Modify Joomla Template
We have a joomla template that has to be modified a little bit.

So only the big title image which can be uploaded in the backend and the header area have to be changed.

2. All old menus and example pages can be removed.
New Menus and submenus for 30 pages have to be included.

3. Also a “News page” needs to be set up which shows actual news. The 5 most actual news have to be shown also on the startpage.
4. A feedback form needs to be set up which has about 10 fieldnames.
5. Frontend administration has to be set up for the German language.

FTP access and PSD source file will be provided.

Website Migration
Data entry personnel needed to move information from Joomla! 1.0.15 websites, to Joomla! 1.5.15 websites with a different template. Minor amount of knowledge of Joomla! CMS is needed. Images will be moved and available in the new site, so will not need to be uploaded. The destination website will already exist, and the required extensions will already be loaded.

All data must be moved from the originating site to the destination site to include

*content items (articles)

*modules (RSS feeds, images, I will provide a list of the modules to transfer and which to leave)

*menu items

*configuration details

*input extensions configuration data

Modules must be moved to proper positions on the new template. And the site must be made aesthetically pleasing.

IMMEDIATE NEED. Joomla 1.5 developer to design and develop a module that works with Community Builder and having the following capabilities:
1. Allows users to create news items with hidden tags
2. Allow users registered using Community Builder to automatically view only those news items that match tags in their profile.
3. When the news items are displayed, the hidden fields remain hidden.

For example, when I register on the site using Community Builder, I indicated that I enjoy hip-hop, soccer and am interested in concerts in the D.C area. Based on that registration profile, each time I sign-on to the site, I will automatically be presented only with news articles that were created by other users that meet one or more of those criteria on my frontpage.

This site will need to allow people to post ads, sell or trade their items. The website will be able to be searched by, City, State, country, also be able to be searched by item description and title. Users will need to sign up and have a profile to allow them to sell and trade. I like the way Craigslist works, its very simple. An admin page will be necessary for the site also. Sobi Problem (joomla)
sobi directory problem in joomla website. mce editor is not working on the front end of the sobi directory when users go to edit their listing details, it is simply loading an empty box with no sign of the editor.

Gumtree Style Website
Hi,

I am looking for a programmer to design for me a portal like gumtree. Instead of advertisements though, the categories will contains user profiles.

Sobi2 Expert Automate Process
Sobi2 expert wanted to automate a Cloning process.

Sobi2 and its Plugins can be cloned and an instructional manual has been supplied.

I would like to have this process automated into a simple desktop tool which can do the required approximately 15 steps:

All I would like the User to have to do, is to place the necessary files in a folder on the desktop and enter FTP login creds.

Then, with login credentials supplied, automatically pull the necessary files from the server, as well as from that desktop folder and execute the tasks.

User just puts the new clone name into the desktop tool and the script does all the rest, including down and re-uploading the altered files.

I require exclusivity and full copyright to the tool.

If you have worked with Sobi before, you will understand that the components need to be registered at least once (paid) in order to be cloned, and that part of the cloning process duplicates the registration credentials into the clone..
