Our company is producing a Flash-based product customization web application called MakeMyWings.com.
Please see www.myphotostone.com as an example of the desired functionality we achieved in
another site.
Terms:
You will be working with our Marketing and Web Department during the course of this project. They will provide you with PSD files of each screen, and all the code and database information for MyPhotoStone.com so that you can use that as a starting off point if you wish. You may also start from scratch, however there were many bugs that were fixed on MyPhotoStone.com that will need to be addressed if you start from scratch. The choice is yours.
AngelStar requires full access to all the source code including the FLA files.
During the project, AngelStar expects daily updates and access to the source code weekly. You can develop it on your server or ours.
Payment:
– 25% in escrow at the start of the project.
– 25% payment, and 100% in escrow when the menu system works, users can upload photos,
and users can select from the premade templates
– 50% payment when users can select the body piece, the wings change size depending on
the body, text can be added and edited.
– 75% payment when all features of the site are done, including correctly printing.
– 100% payment after all bugs are worked out.

INTRO SCREEN (PDF Page 1)
-Select a figurine
–clicking here will open a flash window (fig. X) where users will select a figurine to customize.
MAIN SITE (Page 3)
-The menu at left will contain options that slide up or down when clicked to adjust the wings.
-The wings on the right are where the information is edited.
–Add Images (Page 4)
—Must be able to upload, resize, rotate and move 2 images (one for each side.)
—Must be able to change the background color
—Must be able to delete the image
—Ability to use premade templates that are stored in a database and apply them to the wings. There must be 2 sets of these premade templates. One set is for the Small wings, and one set is for the Large wings. There also needs to be a template each for the Left and Right wings.
–Add Text (Page 7)
—Able to add at least 4 blocks of text per wing.
—Have a limited selection of colors and font styles. Colors should be updatable via an XML file or the database.
—Allow font sizes to be changed.
—Allow text rotation.
—Allow for deletion of text.
—Automatically delete text placeholder if there is no text in the box. (IE: if it is blank.)
–Print (Page 8, and print from myphotostone.com to see what happens after you click ‘Print’)
—Show a preview of the printed design.
—Select the number of templates per page.
—Print out wing sides at 300DPI. The current website exports the sides to images using pixels.php, then uses an automatic PDF generator to generate and mask the image to the correct size. You will be responsible for either creating a different, better system, or updating this system to work with the 2 sizes of wing styles.
—Printing the large wings is different than printing the small wings. When previewing and printing, the system will need to take this into account and print the appropriate size wing. PRINTING CORRECTLY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF THIS SITE.
–Save (Page 9)
—Allow customers to save their projects by emailing them a link to the project. The email text and images will be provided for you. The email should have a preview of the wing design. A confirmation flash popup will appear after the email has been sent.
–Send to a Friend (Page 10)
—Same as save, but sends out 2 separate emails with separate text – one to the recipient, and one to the sender. A confirmation flash popup will appear after the email has been sent.
-change your angel Button
–Clicking here will open the flash window (fig. X) where users will have another opportunity to change their figurine. Clicking this button may change the size of the wings editable area.
NOTES
Once images or text are placed into the design, the text “Your design will show here”
should disappear.
If text or an image is drug off the wing so it is no longer viewable, it should be deleted.
There are 2 wing sizes available – Small and Large. The site must take this into account
and change wing sizes depending on the figurine that is selected. The wing shape they are
editing will need to change size if necessary, along with how the wings are printed.
Templates must be reasonably secure so a user can’t gain access to them by guessing. For MyPhotoStone.com, we used a random security ID.
If no content is selected when an ‘action’ button is pressed (like Resize, Rotate, or Font Style,) the blue warning box stating “Click on the object you want to modify” will appear alerting the user to this.
We will be expecting a better way to edit text than what is used on MyPhotoStone.com. There are several problems with this system. Specifically, you have to click twice to actually edit the text, and if you click to the right of the last letter it does not let you edit the text.
