Flash Game Site Development
Introduction
Project’s Objective:
Create an easy-to-use 2.0 style games portal website that provides free online flash games with built-in social networking/community features (blogs, player profiles, chatting and etc-please see below) using PHP and MySQL. The interface of the site has to be nice, clean, attractive yet efficient. The site should be compatible with most widely used browsers; IE, 6,7 & 8, Firefox, Safari & Chrome.
The site needs to be completely SEO friendly with SEO friendly URLS, meta tags, XHTML coding, W3C validation and etc. Proven experience in developing arcade script will be given preferences but others will also be considered based on credentials. Please provide examples/portfolios with your response

Development Options (1 or 2):
I am open to either of the options as per below. When responding, please indicate the option that you will be using with your development work
1) Modify an existing gamescript to support social networking features and UTF-8 (to support the site’s use of an Asian language. Phparcadescript.com is one of the scripts you could use to modify to meet the requirements but I will accept any kind of good script you are comfortable to work with.
2) Custom-Coded with original source code with features explained above plus must contain these features: http://www.phparcadescript.com/index.php?action=features . Of importance is the social networking functions with the ability for users to have their own profiles, blogs, uploading their own pictures/avatars, create friends list, add comments to pics, listing of preferred games, latest comments, best results on highscore games with list of top players, a chat either below or to the right of the game. The homepage should also indicate what games are being played and by whom.
In the backend:
– autosize SWF
– Create thumbnails from flash files to use them as game pictures
– Tags for Games
Scope
• Uses PHP 5 as a server-side script
• Avoids extra plugin downloads by using Javascript as a client-side script
• Store data and contents on MySQL database engine
• The development must follow the W3 standards
Some features and functionalities.
• The site will be in an Asian language (and English as a secondary option) and should be developed using UTF-8 (No translation is required but system must be built as a CMS system easily editable by a non-techie)
• The design resolution should be compatible with all major screen resolutions in use today
• Games must be written to support Mochi’s API to accommodate Leaderboards, Medals, Ranking system. No game development work required.

• PHP 5 installed with PDO extension enabled
• APC (PHP extension) is required to be installed for caching
• MySQL 5 or above with InnoDB engine enabled (used for advanced transaction process)
