Deal-a-day Website – Groupon
Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

Plan to launch an e-Commerce site similar in nature to Groupon.com (please take a detailed look at website before bidding):

Key Differences from Groupon:

*No referral system needed
*No minimum purchase requirement
*Ability to efficiently print address labels of customers who purchase coupons

Flexible Back-end System:

*The ability to control the site through an interface, with a secure login, so that an administrator can login remotely and update anytime (content management system)
*The ability to create multiple administration accounts with different rights / privileges.
*The ability for an administrator to create a new Deal for the City for which they have permission through the content management system
*The ability for an administrator to remove a previous deal for the City which they have permission
*The ability to specify key terms and conditions (cost per coupon, quantity of coupons available, etc.)
*The ability to view all members, their contact details, and coupons purchased.

Deal Features:

*The ability to create separate Deals or coupons for each City
*The ability to set a maximum of the number of coupons that can be sold (a) in aggregate; and (b) to any one member. If the quantity limit is reached, nobody can purchase any more (the deal gets removed automatically)
*Each coupon will need the following fields: Picture; Total Quantity; Quantity Available; Price; Coupon Value; Short Description; Share deal through email, Facebook, Twitter functionality; Address of the Business (Link to Google map); Key Terms & Conditions (expiry date etc.)

Emails:

*The ability to create an auto-generated HTML email, which is sent to all members within a City alerting them of each day’s Deal (can be integrated with software such as Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc. )
*The ability to create an auto-generated HTML email, which is sent to the member post-purchase, to confirm the transaction.

E-Commerce Functionality:

*The ability to facilitate payment options with secure credit card transactions (no payment information should be stored on our servers).
*The ability for members to securely purchase coupons once logged in without reentering credit card or shipping address information.
*The ability to print address labels of members who purchased a coupon

Member Login:

*When a member signs up for emails to be sent to them, they should fill out their email address and select which City they would like Deals for (no email confirmation required)
*When a new customer signs up for an account, email confirmation is required through email link
*The ability for members to login to the site to view previous coupons purchased, credit card information, shipping address info, personal details (name, contact details).

Data Collection:
*The ability to collect data for each Deal: the number of members that viewed the Deal; the number of coupons sold.
*The ability to download data into a CSV file for any Deal or Customer.
*Google analytics

Other:
*Overall, the website should be flexible in terms of functional amendments. In the future, the provider may be hired to add certain functions. This will likely be an interactive and on-going assignment.
*Search Engine Optimization for Google, Yahoo!, and Bing web searches.
*Will provide the logo/pictures/text for the site; the web designer must provide the overall design
*Basic information pages: About Us, Contact Us, FAQ, Terms & Conditions etc.
* Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer’s environment (version control)
* All deliverables will be considered “work made for hire” under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc.).
