Virtuemart To Dazzle Connector
I “LOVE” the software called Shipworks by a company called “Interapptive” and have used it for several years. My company is growing from a couple of websites to 100+ by the end of the year and 500+ in total. Currently we use exclusively www.usps.com / US Post Office for outbound shipping. Shipworks charges $15 / month / site and is GREAT for a few sites, but WAY too expensive when you get past 10 sites or so.

I need to have a program or script poll a virtually unlimited number of ecommerce websites (shopping carts) and extract the orders/sales from these sites. This data needs to be able to be used to print out an invoice/packing list (Shipworks has a GREAT XML interface for this) and then the same data needs to be able to interface with a postage/label program or service (Endicia.com through its Dazzle desktop component is my prefered method) to print out my labels for the outbound mailed orders.

Shipworks is a desktop application. A web-interface app would be more appropriate.

My immediate need is to grab the orders, print labels and ship the items. If the created app could talk to the various Joomla/Virtuemart sites and paste in tracking numbers and send email notifications to the customer, it would be awesome.

Endicia has an interface called “Endicia Label Server” that might work as part of a web-based interface and be a replacement for Dazzle, however, for now, Dazzle through its polled directory or preferrably through its command line switches can print the postage (and preform address verifications).

If this project proceeds well. I would expect to hire additional expansions and added functionallity on a semi-regular basis.

I would love for this to be written as a Joomla/Virtuemart Extension. An independent web-app would be my second choice and a Desktop app (which may be the easiest) would be my third choice.

Htaccess 301 Redirects
i have urls like this:
www.website.com/some-section/some-category/123-some-article
www.website.com/some-section/321-some-category/some-article
www.website.com/some-section/some-category/some-article
www.website.com/some-category/some-article

i want them all 301 redirect to this format:
www.website.com/articles/some-article

this must be done through .htaccess, website is running on joomla.

please only experienced .htaccess programmers.

Quick Joomla Page Correction 2
I have a few quick changes that need to be made to the following page:

This is of course built on a Joomla platform.

here is what I need done:

1. Remove the “Marketing News for…” box that is on the right.
2. Center the page content.
3. Place a graphic behind the web-form at the bottom of the page.
4. Change the submit button image.
5. Change the font color of the form.
6. Have the 5 logo images that are on the page link to a shadow box pop-up that will display a pdf or other format. This MUST be easily managed from the backend of Joomla (no HTML or other direct coding please. If plugin is required, then we can install).

Graphics will be provided in any format requested (pdf, jpg, png, etc).

Joomla Excelsheet Prep Script
Brief: I need a clean (commented) script written (in either: perl/ruby/python, or preferably php) that can rearrange the attached excel sheet (containing product data) so that it can be easily imported into Joomla’s Virtuemart Shopping Cart using “CSVI import script”.

CSVI’s required rules/fields for Virtuemart data are here: http://www.csvimproved.com/csvi-joomfish-documentation/available-fields/

The following clearly already needs to be changed just to meet the CSVI requirements:
– field names should be changed to allow csvi-types. (can be done by hand)
– The field “full sku” have spaces in them. All spaces should be changed to underscores.
– “available options” field should be expanded for those records containing more than one option (eg.: row 705: “blue pearl, 19.0z” do not belong in the same cell)
– * anything else needed to allow the script to successfully import to virtue mart’s product database *

Although the above list is provided, you the programmer are still expected to test your script on the excel sheet, using your own open source (and free) Joomla, VirtueMart, and CSVI packages (xampp is very easy to run).

Also, their are 20 fields allowed by the CSVI import tool and the provided excel sheet provides more than that, so the sheet can be cut down to the following:
full sku
parent sku
child sku
detail image name
thumbnail image name
new product
product category
product name
available options
weight
msrp
wholesale price
description {1-14} [merged as one field]

This is only 13 fields, meaning another 7 are available. If you have any suggestions, please let me know — as you are the one reading through the CSVI api to write this script.

Property Investment Website
We need a new site developed to advertise the details of our new property investment schemes.
The site should the same level of style and design as http://www.castlemartyrresort.ie
The design will be different – I will supply a pdf brochure for the colours etc.
The site will need a few kinds of pages:
• Pages to explain the details of how all projects work and how to get involved etc
• Pages to go through each individual project currently available
• Browse all projects option
• Completed Projects Section.
• Contact Section
The Backend will need to be easy to use and allow administrators to easily:
add new projects
add new content
manage current projects, pictures, content etc

It would be preferable that the site would be built in joomla/wordpress/drupal or somthing similar

We will be relying on the designer for creative ideas and input. The design be tweaked as we work on the project.
