A couple of weeks ago I mentioned an open source component for creating 20 uniquely styled activity indicators called NVActivityIndicatorView.
Here’s an open source component called BusyNavigationBar from Gunay Mert Karadogan that allows you to add stylish activity indicators directly within the navigation bar.
With BusyNavigationBar you can add three different styles of activity indicators, moving stripes, moving bars, or a moving layer of your own design. You can adjust the opacity, color, and size of the activity indicator.
Here’s an animation from the readme showing a BusyNavigationBar in action of the stripes design:
