Aerial Photos of Recent Work at Apple’s North Carolina Data Center  – Wired has now obtained aerial photos of the site taken earlier this week, showing not only the new tactical data center but also ongoing installation of solar panels at the 100-acre solar farm across the street from the data center and what appears to be the 4.8-megawatt fuel cell facility behind the data center.

Amazon Releases iPad App for Instant Video Service – Amazon has released an iPad app for its Instant Video renting and buying service and its streaming Netflix competitor, Amazon Prime Instant Video.

Mophie announces Outride, a waterproof action sports camera kit & app for iPhone – According to Mophie, the goal of its new action sports “Outride” camera kit, which integrates a wide-angle lens with 170 degrees viewing angles and a waterproof, impact resistant casing, is to eliminate “the need for a dedicated device such as a GoPro or Contour camera.”

Apple reportedly readying iBookstore for Latin America launch – Publishers operating in Latin America have reportedly received “urgent” requests from a large Spanish e-book distributor to update their respective metadata, signaling Apple’s iBookstore may soon rollout in the region.
