Description of the track:

This song is about an experience I had when my friend passed away last year. After his death, I was having terrible nightmares. During this time, I met someone new and who inspired me…before I knew it, the nightmares subsided. Make what you will of it, but I give him credit for stopping the nightmares. I woke up one morning and the song just came out of me.

On the recording, my producer and I used a kick drum and sampled it to create the rhythm behind that I thought was essential. Also, there are some jingle bells in there as well. The only other instrument involved is guitar. Not certain what software my friend used for recording.

Lyrics:

You stopped the nightmares
You stopped the nightmares
You stopped the nightmares in my head
Woke me up from my sleep
Beauty more than skin deep
Dreaming away her life instead

Now I can get some peace
And now I can rest easy

I felt abandoned
Everyone I had loved
Left me to fend for myself
I thought it was a hoax
The one thing I desired most
Love that would bring me to my knees

Now I can get some peace
And now I can be released

You stopped the nightmares
You stopped the nightmares
You stopped the nightmares in my head
You broke the silence
You broke the silence
You broke the silence in my head

I thought I was a lost cause
You may be proving I was wrong
