WordPress Theme Tweaks

I have a wordpress blog with the grid-a-licious theme installed.

When I post onto it creates a too large post on homepage, so this needs to be turned into a snippet […] of
the post rather than the whole post. (see www.creativedepart.com)
So the blog posts on the home-page maintain grid layout.
Also other minor css tweaks so it looks more like

would be nice to have rounded boxes with shadow instead
