Need A Custom Desktop App

The application will have 2 parts –

1). It will have an interface where user can input any number of urls. It will have the url trim function which will trim the url to domains roots. Like

–

to
http://www.makeapost.co.uk/

There will be an option in the application to retain the second part of url after the first “/” if the second part is something input by the user in the app. User can input any number of entries like if the user enters

forum
forums
boards

the following urls will be trimmed as follows –

FRENCH articles – FRANCAIS – 15 at $3 for 400 words by jakeoutsource

http://www.teach-nology.com/forum/
http://www.teach-nology.com/forums/
http://www.teach-nology.com/boards/
http://www.teach-nology.com/

and so on…

The results can be copied.

2). The second part of the app will also have an interface where user can input any number of urls. Like-

http://www.teach-nology.com/

This part of the app will take a url one by one and search Google for this –

site:http://www.teach-nology.com/ USER INPUT

where the User Input will be an option to be used or not by the user say the user inputs –

may 2010

so the actual search will be –

site:http://www.teach-nology.com/ may 2010

THE APPLICATION WILL STOP AFTER EACH SEARCH QUERY AND DISPLAY THE RESULTS IN IT’S INTERFACE.

The user can click on the search results and the corresponding search result url will open in firefox browser. IF user clicks more than one search results they open in subsequent tabs in the browser.

There will be an option “NEXT” which user can click in the app and the app will perform the next search corresponding to the list of the urls input initially by the user.

That’s it. Some minor tweaks may be needed here and there but not compulsary. We will discuss.
