Oscommerce Site Modification
We are looking for a developer with Oscommerce experience to make couple of changes on our existing site.
The site can be accessed here:
http://lawnturf.co.uk/
It is a site that sells turf therefore it uses a calculator on some of the products to calculate the price of the turf and delivery charges based on area. Find here:
http://lawnturf.co.uk/premium-sterling-turf-p-1.html
http://lawnturf.co.uk/screened-soil-p-69.html
The changes we require on the site:
1.On checkout page: We need to add mobile and fax number to checkout page, when customers are entering their details. Currently there is only an option for Phone number. (This needs to be done on the one page checkout we are using and not the standard oscommerce checkout page.) This should be very easy to do for you as it will only require couple of extra lines to update the database. Both mobile and fax number entries must be optional so the customer doe NOT have to enter them if they do not want to.
2.On product_info page: We need the quantity box (towards bottom of page, next to add to cart button) to be hidden if the calculator is used for that product. So if customer goes to any page that is using the calculator (for topsoil and turf products) we want the quantity box to disappear. If customer goes to other pages such as fertilisers, we want the quantity box to appear: http://lawnturf.co.uk/premium-sterling-turf-p-1.html. I am sure that is also easy to do with and “if else” code.
3.This one is a little bit more challenging. We would like to add a tick box(pre selected) that adds 5% wastage allowance for turf calculator when customer uses that calculator. This needs to be applied to the calculator that is used on those pages:
http://lawnturf.co.uk/premium-sterling-turf-p-1.html
http://lawnturf.co.uk/budget-sterling-turf-p-76.html
Just a quick note on that. We are using two files for calculations. For turf calculator the file we use is “calc1” For soil calculator we use “calc2” So, for this occasion, you will need to add the 5% wastage function to “calc1” file.
You can see an online version here: http://www.rolawndirect.co.uk/products-turf.html (under red buy now button). You can alternatively look at the code in the attached excel file to see how wastage is calculated.
I am looking forward to your quote. All information you may require will be provided immediately. Successful candidate will be considered seriously for the future projects. Good luck to all.
