Joomla Config File Edit

Am needing advice from a Joomla Programmer for this project. We have multiple domains pointing to one Joomla install. We recently had sh404 configured which is requiring the live site (var $live_site = ”;) to be identified in the configuration.php file. My live site need to be derived from the referrer.

Needing this done, if possible.
