This project is for for Open Classifieds latest version OC 1.7
open source software and will involve the following adjustments:

1)Membership mod

1)Membership mod for Open Classifieds (OC) 1.7
OC 1.7 already has a basic member mod which can be enable form Admin backed. Once this is enabled, user is required to register to Post Ads.
Admin can Create New Account, Edit- Username and/or Email, Activate/Deactivate and Delete account . Admin cannot change User password .
Registered user must login to OC to Post Ads and access
My Account -Edit | Deactivate | DELETE all their existing Ads in their account
Setting -change Username and / or password
And Logout
If registered user misplaces password , then that user can request (click on link “Forgot my Password”) OC to send the Username and Password to the email address in that Member mod

1)Give users option to promote ad in the account ( based Add Feature Ads requested above)

2)OC does not support Post Ad by both Registered users and Non-Registered users. In “Admin| Initial Settings” if
“Require log on to post” = TRUE Then user must register Post Ad .
If “Admin | Initial Settings” “Require log on to post” = FALSE, then Member mod is disabled and anyone can Post Ad
by entering Username and Password ( not published) and email is sent to them to Activate ( confirm) Ad with other links to also “Edit” and / or “Deactivate” Ad
I would like both Register users and Non-Registered users to be able to Post Ad
Non-Registered user will get normal email to Activate / Edit / Deactivate Ad
Registered user will be required to login to Post Ad but will get added-value (unavailable to Non-Registered users)
– Edit and Promote ( Feature ad) all their Ads Posted in one place ( rather than getting a bunch of emails)
3)The other thing that concerns me about OC is “Forgot my Password” sends the Username and Password to the to Username email address I would rather link to Change ( forgotten password) be sent to email address but this can deal with that later, not for this project.
2)Set Default days for which the ad will be running
OC 1.7 does not have this feature
– I would like to “expire_ads_after_default” = X (days)
– with ability to override with a different expiration time for each category/subcategory from the admin
e.g default – 30 day
housing – ads expire after 30 days ( default )
housing | land for sale – ads expire after 45 days ( override )
3)Featured ads ( Bump-up Ads)
OC 1.7 does not have this feature
– Add as Paid Option
– Feature Ads should display at top of each Category / Sub-Category i.e. above all Non-Feature Ads and regardless of the date Posted
– Would also like to have Admin ability to ENABLE /DISABLE. Start site Free and ENABLE based on User request
– Nice to have, if possible, if Feature Ads = DISABLE , it not appear in Member mod e.g.

– Admin option to Add Extended Ad days, similar to Xzero Classifieds

5) Offer 2CO, and Moneybookers payment options for paid features (3) and (4) above
OC 1.7 does not have this feature
– Add 2Checkout and Moneybookers payments gateways to OC 1.7 for promotion payments(Feature and Extended Ads)
– Add pay for services using PayPal, and that money will be placed into 2Checkout account.
