We have a bespoke stock managment system written in VB which hit a snag earlier in the week when the invoice number at a particular customer hit 32767 invoices.
When ever the Get Invoice, Amend Invoice or View invoice function is called with any invoice number greater than 32767 an error is thrown “ARITHMETIC OPERATION RESULTED IN AN OVERFLOW” presumably caused by the data type expected having a 32767 limit.
