I have a heavily modified wordpress membership site. Currently, users can post ‘events’ of their own, which basically just creates a WP post with themselves as the authors. The form they use to create events uses a plugin called TDO-Mini Forms. It works well, but the form is a little daunting (too long). You can see it here:
