Task: To convert our existing JavaScript Firefox/Chrome extension to an installable 32bit Internet Explorer extension/add-on that will work with IE7, IE8 and IE9, as well as working with 64-bit IE ‘if possible’.
The JavaScript that we have written finds specific links on each browser page/tab from the HTML DOM onLoad and then it displays an image link beside them by adding elements to the page, after sending three XMLHttpRequests to our server and saving the variables/html it returns.
The current plugin JavaScript works perfectly in Firefox and Chrome but some of the JS may need to be updated to be compatible with Internet Explorer, which might be purely the lines relating to saving variables (in Chrome we use: localStorage.variablename = variable).
We are looking for someone who can complete the task within a few days as it should be fairly straightforward for an experienced IE extension developer.
The IE version must be upgradeable so it updates the users install when new versions are released.
