i want to see a sketch of this logo. i don’t care if it’s in crayon on a napkin. prove to me that we’re on the same page before i invest in you.
i don’t want to use standard text in this logo. i want everything hand drawn. that’s why the sketch is doable.
i don’t want to see your samples from anyone else for any other service. please don’t waste my time or yours.

that being said, this project is finally for myself and not for a client so i can safely tell you that if you deliver what i want, the $100 is yours before you even begin working on the final illustration.
i want this to be a continuing relationship that reaches beyond this site. i am purchasing a retail location next month and the revenue scale is going to allow me to potentially bring an illustrator on full time via telecommunication.
anyway, about the company:
Bonzo’s Shirt Shack – possibly just “The Shirt Shack” but for now, Bonzo’s.
this is going to be a rustic company, but not cowboy. think tiki torches, etc. straw, blah, blah. a straw shack, basically. something you’d see on the beach. a hut.
anyway, i’m envisioning “Bonzo’s Shirt Shack” being spelled out in board – completely with over exaggerated nails. I want it to look like i painted bonzo’s shirt shack on some wood and nailed it up myself. but better, of course.
we’re offering high quality screen printing at low volumes. basically you can come in and get a 12 color t-shirt in 15 minutes for $20. go ask any screen printer to deliver that and tell me what they say.

i need to see something tonight. i’ve got a local artist working on it as well. if you don’t like competition, don’t apply. if you aren’t confident that you can beat 10 other designers then i honestly don’t want to work with you after the logo is created anyway.
you treat this project like you’ll treat the projects i bring you that my clients are paying for and we’ll both be happy.
