Phpfox Social Engine Migration
Hey guys,

I have a site with approx 3500 members running on PHPFox v2. I want to migrate to Social Engine v3.2. The PHPFox site is up and running at present at Dommesandsubs.com. I attempted to use the migration script offered at Social Engine (and attached to this post for reference) but it only imported my site members and none of the albums, groups, blogs, photos, videos, or the like. This project is to “finish” the import/migration and to troubleshoot any bugs/issues in the process. Here’s what needs done specifically:

:: Import the following from PHPFox v2 to Social Engine 3.2 ::

Blogs –> Blog
Classifieds –> Classifieds
Calendar –> Events
Photos –> Albums
Videos –> Videos
Societies –> Groups
Surveys –> Polls

And that’s about it. Will have to confirm the transfer, upload some new content, and make sure the transfer all “takes” but for someone solid with MySQL PHP this shouldn’t be terribly difficult. Additionally, if you can modify the import script to work with the hooks it already has set it may expedite things even more.

Site is on a dedicated server with root access, shell, both dBs on the same box. Forum does not need imported unless you feel the urge to do extra as I plan to install the SE plugin to use SMF and will start from scratch there unless there is a compelling reason to do otherwise. PMB with questions. I have a wealth of PHP based sites and always need assistance so if you can bang this out quickly and at a reasonable rate I will likely have plenty of small odds and ends jobs like this in the future. (I do a good amount of design work and usually prefer to pay a programmer to do the work if it is something I’ll end up taking way longer to complete than contracting it out. And on the rare chance anyone has an interest in trades or barter I’m more than happy to swap design or print work for your time.)

Lyrics Script/design Needed
I basically need a clone of LyricsDownload.com with the following details:

* Admin Backend is a required with the ability to add New Artist (page will be added to proper letter. For example, the band Beatles will go to B), Song (new song page will be added to proper artist)
* Every page must have its <title> as text on the top in gray, must also be the <keywords> and <description>
* All colors must match as seen (background gray, letters area white)
* All 3 big ads must be present with Admin Backend area to change code (2 skyskrapers and 1 square ad)
* Search box must be present on left with option for internal search or Google search (adsense)
* Instead of Most Searched Music Lyrics, this section will be Most Viewed Music Lyrics with 25 songs as on LyricsDownload
* Instead on Top MP3 Ringtones, this section of 15 songs will be New Lyrics
* Letter Pages must look like : www.domainname.com/letter-lyrics.html
For example, for letter C: www.lyricsdownload.com/C-lyrics.html

As it may seem like many requirements, I just listed what features are needed. This can be done within a week but I don’t have a time limit. I’m very busy with other projects which I invested money in to and my budget is fairly low. I’ve seen scripts online for as low as $8 and they can definitely do the job but they are not exactly what I want. Anyway, other than the compensation offered…which is between $50-175, I’m willing to sign a contract of 2% of all website profits for the next 2 years in return for minor support/updates when needed.

Fix Error Php Session Save
Hi,

I have a basic php app on my server, which was working fine.

the webhost seems to have changed a setting on their server, which is now causing my app to show errors.

the webhost looked at my php, and said:

The session.save_handler is currently setup as file (line 82 in
config.inc.php). The session however is handled by database in our
server. It might be the reason why it shows the error message.

they set up a session test file on the server, which says:

Session.save_handler is : memcache

I have put the full error message I see on the web page in a pdf attached to this job. Please see it before bidding.

I need a php person to look into this issue for me, and fix it.

Also, if any other errors or issues appear that stop the app working, to fix those too.

I am aware that it is difficult to be sure of the exact amount of work in this job – it depends on what you find when you test the files and server environment.

Job can be extended as required.
