This project is a custom dashboard that will incorporate data from various sources into a unified interface. Sources include:

1) Google Analytics Data (via API)
2) existing data in mysql databases on the server

The scripts must:

a) access data from various sources (existing data/API’s/XML Feeds) and store it in our database.

b) combine it into a custom data set and store in a new database

c) display the data set in a specific format, which includes tables for the raw data, and visual representations (charts/graphs) from the data.

Asynchronous updates are a must, the dashboard should update in real-time when new data comes into the database.

Multiple users are a must, with access levels defined by the administrator.

Aesthetically, looking for a very clean and professional look.

Please reply via PMB with your experience in this area, especially working with Google Analytics API and also with creating visual representations (graphs, charts, etc.) from raw data. Examples are a must.

Shipment Management Site

Rss Css & Search
I require a programmer to complete the following tasks. They’ve been explained in brief detail, i’ll go into more detail upon request. Please try to complete the tasks in the order they’re set out, bonus paid for time completed and successfulness of tasks.

– Update Crontab and make sure stores expire on the correct dates. Currently this is setup to run threw plesk but we need this to work threw root due to various reasons?

– In store, studio, artist, listener and application form can you make sure the Turning Number they enter clears if they click to continue and they get it wrong?

– In a products category can we make sure its random stores then random products in the .inc? For example on this page it always shows the same 25 products and just randomises them, it should randomise the whole 66. This is only because its only showing the one stores products on the first page?: http://upcomingbeats.com/products/amps-and-pa/

– On the home page can you make it show 5 random products from any category? This will be ‘Latest Viewed Products’. Please could you add on the bottom right, ‘View All Product Categories’ linking to /products/. Once a user logs in it should show the ‘Latest Player Tracks’ instead of the products that are currently shown now. Please see product.png

– Please make sure all accounts are automatically signed out after a period of time, the same as in the administration area or how ever long the current setting is.

SEARCH

– if you search for Obnimi which is a track, It shows this in the suggestions as Obnimi (off.on) live which works fine. If you click this and click search it says there are no search results, I think this is since we’ve added the ‘no search results’? It also shows this track as 37mins long? I’ve tried this with other track searches and they to are showing the wrong times. If you search for How Did You you’ll notice its showing the duration 8:45?

– If you type ‘How did you’ it’s showing the same suggestion twice?? I have no idea why as this doesn’t seem to happen with any others.

– Also for some reason it is showing accounts that haven’t become active yet, there was an artist that registered and they appeared in suggestions and searche ersults even though they aren’t active. If you de-activate a store or studio it still appears in the search, same for its products/sample tracks. Please update this as the old search method we had this working.

CSS

– In firefox the ‘Lets Go’ button won’t align with the boxes above? Please fix this issue, I think this needs adding into the css. If possible after entering your password you can just press enter? At the moment you have to click the lets go button.

– For some reason the height of the Search button is 21px but when viewed in Firefox its 20px?

– For some reason both the watch and sample watch pages seem to be 9px to the right when compared to the other pages when viewed in Firefox. I’m not sure whether this is to do with the script on the page or the css? Also on profile pages the whole website moves downwards but when you refresh it goes back to normal. This could be a Firefox issue as none of these happen in IE.

– when you reply to a comment on the sample/track pages can it appear at the top like a normal post but at the beginning of the sentence can it say ‘at'<username they’re replying to> then what ever they wanted to say? ‘at’ being the A used for email addresses. Instead of it appearing below the comment with a | – or –

– Make the Reply button appear when a user is logged in?

– Can we remove the ‘Short Text’ box and context completely so that when it displays the short text it will show the first 100 letters of the Full text? or what ever the current short text length is.

– As we discussed the News needs to be re-organised so News we have already posted we can change with the tick boxes?

– If possible I would like to have the following tick box options in the admin area for news we post:
Listeners – Will only appear on the listeners home page
Artists – Will only appear on the artists home page
Studios – Will only appear on the studios home page

– The website use to produce an RSS Feed for our news, so we’re going to introduce the current RSS which will display our news if we tick the news public, studio news, store news (except for product news) all on one RSS feed.

– I would also like to create an individual RSS for each store and studio account. The product news for stores will also appear on their RSS. A link in the store/studio profile should appear below their last 5 news posts saying ‘View RSS Feed’. A button on the left should also appear linking to their RSS feed. We also need to add a link to the RSS in each file, for example if they’re viewing the contact form there needs to be a link.

– You may need to create a new folder in the httpdocs called rss to store all the news? You can find the current file in httpdocs called latest-news.xml.

Rrating Site Needed Php/mysql
I am looking to hire a developer to put together the php/mySQL architecture for a website very similar to RATEMYPROFESSOR.COM Could be an actual clone.

The project could be a copy of RATEMYPROFESSOR.COM’s website, then I will modify the content further myself. Users will be able to view already rated items, input their own ratings, and have a form suggesting the entry of new items which were not yet rated (just take a look at RATEMYPROFESSOR.COM).

This project will allow users to first select a State in the US from a drop down box, THEN select a University within the selected State, THEN select a Professor Name within this Univeristy, AND FINALLY the Professor’s ratings will be displayed. Only a few States/Universities/Professors could be inputted as test data, I will input the rest.

Users can also add their own ratings for the selected Professor but a notification should first be sent to the Admin to approve the entered ratings.

Graphics and cosmetic work is not required. This could be a blank set of sites with divisions for the main TITLE GRAPHIC, the data display, the search field, etc,. All I need is the programming that makes it work in the background and make the results/forms display strategically.

Desktop Support Application
This a simple desktop application for customers who need help with their computers. Basically, the computer user will click an icon on the desktop that would open up a medium sized dialog box. In this box will contain options to submit a trouble ticket for help or send a link to a friend so that they can get help. I already have a desktop icon. Should be a simple job.

I’m thinking of a virtual world where users can customize their world, create avatars and customize everything about their avatar.
Something similar to Sims from http://thesims2.co.uk/pages.view_frontpage.asp using Jmonkey engine, http://www.jmonkeyengine.com/ . Ideas are also taken from the facebook application yoville, http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=21526880407 Software such as http://www.3dchat.org/ or http://www.projectwonderland.com/ could be customized for this.

I’m thinking of a similar type of game but maybe simpler for the moment with similar functionality.
One of the major difference would be that when a user creates their avatar and build their virtual world, they can choose whether or not other users playing online can join their world.
If a user joins someone else’s world the owner can choose to block a specific user or stop all users all together from coming to their house/town that they’ve built.
User’s can have the ability to type text and send to a specific user or broadcast their message to everyone in the area.
User’s can send gestures to each other such as a hug, kiss, hug etc.
Users can build a house for themselves and customize it, the walls etc.
The user’s should be able to follow any user in the virtual world and the only place a user cannot follow is into a house. For example if i have a house and i’m in the city and you’re in the city then
you can follow me around in the city but if i go into my house you cannot follow unless i give you permission.
The users should have activities that they can play against each other such as fishing, racing, gambling. When they win the gain points which i will name as a currency.
Other tasks such as washing car but within a time limit if done successfully then they gain points.
The users should age and be able to work after a certain age.
Once user’s earn enough points should be able to buy businesses such as a store, restaurant etc and provide jobs to other users.
Users can also gain businesses by inheriting from family or received as a gift from someone.
An avatar should be able to move into another avatar’s house as a partner and they can get married and have children. The children can then inherit any property the parents had after the parent dies.
The application should use the facebook java api so that user’s can sign in with their facebook account.
The facebook sign in should be used to get the user’s name and their friends and allow users to invite friends. The application must also have its own registration system and use the mysql users table on my website which i will provide the structure and sample data to you. When a facebook user signs in with their facebook account it must create an account in the website’s database for that user and must check if an account already exists for this user on the website. So basically users can sign in with facebook account or an account from the website.
The users can add any user already in the world as a friend and any facebook friend invited who accepts should automatically become friends with the user who invited them.
A database is most likely needed so it will be mysql to store anything. Any existing free/open source programs can be used and customized.

The project will have two versions. One applet and one desktop version. The desktop version can be installable through a jnlp file and must create a desktop link to run the application and a start menu link.
The main reason for choosing java is its write once run anywhere capabilities so that program must run on Mac Linux and windows distros and anything else java can run on.
Bare in mind that in future this application will be built on and improve to add new features so it must be extensible to add new modules, worlds, objects etc
This is the basic idea for the game other standard stuff for virtual worlds such as walking, running, driving a car etc should be included, i am open to any suggestions you might have. The final thing would be for the ability to switch to full screen and back and when in full screen have an icon/button for the user to exit fulllscreen, similar to how most flash players such as the one on youtube does it. With the jmonkey engine this is a simple task to add fullscreen.

The payment model will be for you to seperate things up into stages and charge for each stage and then i can pay you in stages as the project progresses. The reason for this is because as you build the project i may get other ideas and then you can charge me for implementing those other ideas seperately.
