TimelineXML does exactly what it’s name says – it generates an interactive timeline from an XML file. It’s a perfect addition to your blog, corporate website, news site, portfolio, or anything that suits the idea.
It’s also really flexible – the width is liquid, you can fill in the content in any order (doesn’t need to be chronological) and the script will do the rest for you. It will set the correct scale for the timeline, position the events in just the right spot, decide if it needs to show months and a bunch of other cool stuff. It will also sort the events chronologically and will make sure they don’t stack one on top of each other.
Using it is really easy. You fill the content for the timeline in a clean and semantic XML file and from there you need one line of jQuery and one line of HTML to hold the timeline.
