This app is for calendar based events. Like a Advent Calendar, all idea came from it. But it’s not explicitly for Christmas, it goes for any cmpaign in Facebook. You can run some contests every month. You set it up and users have to open every day one box/window, to check for prize or gift. But they have to LIKE your page first.

All event setup/settings and behavior is adjustable via built-in settings page.

And here is a lot more than gift calendar. Picture guessing contest/game included. When user opens current or past day(option in settings) , piece of image will be revealed under it. User gets option to guess that image.

App makes posts to users timeline/wall:

• when user didn’t got a the prize/gift, random post(about 1/3 out of times)
• every time user gets prize/gift
• every time when user tries to guess picture

 

App comes in two versions. Versions are depending on purchased licence.

 

1. Regular Licence version.

This licence is for one Facebook application. It has some limits, listed below.

All php files are encoded. ionCube loader needed on server-side to use the app. Also some links to developers facebook page will be visible. You can see those in demo. Prizes amount is limited to 3. One app per purchase code.

 

2. Extended Licence version.

Possible to install 10 apps with one purchase code.

Open source code, excluding settings page and installation files, to edit application for your needs. When Extended licence is purchased and app registered with purchase code, source files are downloadable inside app, on settings page.

ionCube loader still needed for encoded files. No links to developers profile and prizes amount is unlimited.

Some extra features also:

• CPA network option for making money – make content locker and block access to prize window. After completed offer user can check for prize.
• Download all current users data into .csv file – creat option to collect emails for your mailing list
• Admin can post to all users timelines  in conjunction with app reset

 

*We use some encoded files, to protect script from some sort of people, as much as it possible. Encoded files will make requests to developer server to verify purchased licences. No extra personal data will be transferred or stored.

Installation is actually pretty simple. Just files, no database were used here. Follow these instructions step-by step and you’re doing fine.

Requirements for installation

• php 5.x
• ionCube loader installed on server
• SSL certificate for secure https:// url (from october 2011 facebook default browsing is https://). 

Almost all most known hosting companies have those requirments available by default.
