Notify: A simple modal plugin for WordPress
‘Notify’ is a super simple WordPress plugin which displays a modal window to your visitors as they first arrive on your site. It’s intended for cases when all you need is a simple, site-wide modal window that allows you to show any content with minimal hassle.
Features and details:
- the modal window is shown to any single user once every 7 days (this can be customized if you’d like with just a quick change in the code; straightforward instructions on how to do it through the WordPress Dashboard are included in the documentation)
- insert and format any content: text, images, videos, forms, embeddable content and anything else allowed by the tools available in the WordPress editor and/or whatever plugins you have installed
- customize the close button and modal background colors
- add custom background image to modal
- modal window sizes itself according to what content you insert (min width 220px, max width 810px)
‘Notify’ is a great way to display:
- a special offer
- an important notice
- links to your social presence (Facebook’s ‘Like box’ for example)
- a video introducing your products or services
You can use ‘Notify’ to display any content really, and set it up as you would any post or page on your WordPress site, meaning you don’t have to learn a new interface.
