What this script does

This PHP script enables you to add a Twitter user timeline and/or Twitter search results on your site. The script is easy to install, use and it’s modifiable. You can add the script to your site by copying and pasting the PHP or jQuery code that is bundled in this software package.

Requirements

  • Register an account on the Twitter Developers website and create an app
  • Make sure that your PHP version has the cURL and JSON extensions loaded

How easy is it to implement this code into your site?

I managed to implement this script into my demo site in about 10 minutes by uploading to the root directory and keeping the folder names of the plugin the same. There is really only one main folder (which contains other folders, classes, functions, CSS file etc.). After uploading, you simply edit the configuration file within that folder with your Twitter API credentials and add a few lines of code on the page that you’d like to display the tweets on.
