Overview

woocommerce category sitemap allows you to split sitemap of your woocommerce powered site into multiple sitemaps by creating separate xml and/or gz sitemap for each category with category sitemap index file which will link all the category sitemaps. Along with it you will also have more control over priority and change frequency of each product, automatic sitemap generation ,automatic ping to search engines with some more extra features like

– Creating sitemap into your desired folder
– Create sitemap with your desired terms
– Disable product entry into sitemap

Actual installation procedure:

Lets say you have a fresh install of an operating system. Here are the minimum requirements you must meet in order to start using this website.

Windows

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ON A NEW MACHINE

1) install IIS

2) install PHP 5

3) install FastCGI for IIS (windows component from control panel, programs area)

4) download the deliverable and extract the zip which contains the phpsite folder

5) add read/write permissions to the generated-win folder for everyone

6) add a new website to iis on the location of phpsite

7) add index.php as default document

8 ) add *.php script module entry using FastCGI and php-win.exe to render php files

Linux

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ON A NEW MACHINE

1) get apache (sudo apt-get install apache2)

2) get PHP5 (sudo apt-get install php5)

3) extract deliverable zip file that contains the phpsite folder

4) move phpsite over to /var/www (sudo mv phpsite /var/www)

5) add execute permissions to bin-lin AND write permissions for generated-lin for everyone
(Owner, Group and Others, and allow execution) (sudo chmod 777 generated-lin)

6) try http://127.0.0.1/phpsite

Mac OS X Snow Leopard / Mountain Lion

1) install apache
(apachectl start)

2) setup php
(uncomment LoadModule php5_module libexec/apache2/libphp5.so in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf)

3) restart apache (apachectl restart)

– extract phpsite to /Library/WebServer/Documents

4) add permissions to output folder
(chmod 777 generated-mac)

5) go to the bin-mac folder, open the wkhtmltopdf file and copy the app inside it over to the bin-mac folder

6) try http://localhost/phpsite

RSSPlus App is a full working full featured RSS aggregator build on top of Titanium framework. It is a well structured, well organized and implemented, full working app that comes with all the ingredients a modern application needs. Best practices, proven techniques and experienced software architecture are packed with a well crafted design.

Navigation
The application follows the modern trends of the “Slide menu”. Each RSS feed has its own entry in this menu. In addition to this, each particular window has it’s own context menu. This menu carries options like “Refresh”, “Share to …”, “Open in browser” etc.

The construction of the “Slide menu” is driven by the application’s configuration file. No extra code is needed for that. The context menu is automatically binded to the right button of the navigation bar.

Remote data / RSS
The application is fetching data from online remote feeds and sources by using the RSS protocol. The source URLs for these feeds are set in the application’s configuration file.

Image scraping – Node.js
Images, related to each article, are automatically detected and used in the Application’s “Feed” and “Details” windows. The application is configured to communicate and uses a node.js web-service especially created for this purpose.

Social networks integration

No additional code is required in order to provide the “Post to Facebook” and “Share to Twitter” options for any particular article. URL shortener – Bit.ly
When posting to Twitter the creation of short URLs is a crucial part. RSSPlus Application is already configured to make use of the bit.ly service. Again, no additional code is required for that. You need just set your bit.ly account credential.

Theme framework
RSSPlus application introduces our powerful flexible and extensible “Theme Framework” for Titanium Applications. All the information related to the “Look and Feel” of the application is completely separated from the business code. A theme file, following a declarative approach, controls information like the colors and the color schemes, the font family and the font sizes, etc.
