readyChat Theme Engine

readyChat Theme Engine is one of the first mods for the readyChat system, this Engine enables you to install pre-made themes or create your own and if you need to drop back to the default theme then you simply change the theme name back, that simple.

Enables you to switch from the default theme to a pre-made theme or even have a go at creating your own theme with the knowledge you can simply drop back to the default theme if you brake yours.

This theme engine already includes the converted readyChat theme, this enables you to install the readyChat Theme Engine and have it in place already for when you create or get new themes.

Support

If after installing the engine and you find a bug even if its a core error please contact us first, Why? this is simple we had to change line locations to create this mod so we will have to make sure our mod is not at fault and then we can provide you the correct error line to report it to the readyChat authors.

I will also try my best to make sure older themes will still work with up to date versions of the engine, I will also try my best to update the engine not long after readyChat has been updated, I aim to support DesignSkite the author of readyChat and though I will love to hear your ideas I will be passing them through them first before I make any major changes to my engine.

Engine Requirements

• readyChat requires PHP 5.3 minimum
• readyChat requires 1 MySQL database (uses the MySQLi extension)
• Product requires around 2mb of disk space

You must know PHP and HTML coding to be able to create a usable theme, I don’t offer support on creation of a theme but I do offer a blank template within the engine for you to get started.

Compatibility

Circloid is compatible with OpenCart release from v1.5.1.3.1 – v1.5.6. Most third-party modules should work without issue. If the extensions you use have directly altered/overwritten default OpenCart files (non vQmod changes), then there is a slightly increased chance of compatibility issues. Email support (see below) and I’ll do what I can to assist.

Works with IE8/9+, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera.

Custom Admin Pages: Themes like Shoppica2, Journal, etc that have their own custom admin pages work fine with Circloid. If your frontend theme has a custom admin page, you can easily make it compatible with Circloid. All details are contained within the documentation.

NOTE: Shoppica2, Journal and other themes’ copyright are held by their respective owners.

Translations

Circloid is easily translated into any language. All you have to do is translate one file and you are set.

Known Issues

Circloid is built to work alongside other OpenCart extensions, and it works fine for most extensions with little or no customization needed.

But as there are thousands of extensions out there, there may be a few that just aren’t compatible with this theme. If you or any of your 3rd party extensions have altered the default OpenCart Admin files directly (instead of using vQmod), then there may be an increased chance on incompatibility. I’m willing to help where I can.
