This is a mellow, enigmatic piece which begins very open and moves forward with touches of woodwind and an upright bass and a very ‘woody’ sounding percussion. The final recap really embodies the soul of the piece and sounds not too unlike something I could imagine playing at the beginning of a crime-scene television drama.
