Jailbreak iOS 8.1.3 [Updated]

iOS 8.1.3 Released – Is It Possible To, And Can I, Jailbreak 8.1.3 UnTethered?

New: In an even more recent development, Apple issues iOS 8.1.3 to the general public. Unfortunately, the new firmware patches the primary kernel exploit utilized by TaiG, in addition to several others, rending the tool useless for devices running iOS 8.1.3.

TaiG version 1.2.0 is the latest Untethered jailbreak that remains unpatched, it supports the following iOS-based devices:

  • iPhone 6 Plus
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 5s series: 5c, 5
  • iPhone 4s
  • iPad Air 2, 1, iPad Mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad Mini, iPad 4, 3
  • iPod touch 5th generation

TaiG also supports the following firmwares:

  • iOS 8.1.2
  • iOS 8.1.1
  • iOS 8.1
  • iOS 8.0.x

In other words, as far as iOS 8.1.3 is concerned, the update is relatively small, carries a slightly revised build number over 8.1.2 and is intended to improve a number of smaller issues preset in 8.1.2 and earlier iterations of iOS 8.

Although 8.1.3 does provide a remedy for issues that have plagued devices running iOS 8, it’s recommended that all who are currently jailbroken on iOS 8 through 8.1.2 avoid the latest update.

While it’s going to sound redundant, we simply cannot stress how important it is for those of you who are currently jailbroken to avoid iOS 8.1.3, as neither TaiG, Pangu nor PP will function on the firmware as things currently stand. For details on how to maintain your device’s current jailbreak, we advise reading our recent article on the topic.
