Website Creation (almost Clone
I want a clone of ChatRoulette.com
I have the webdomain already, just need smoeone to get to work!
There will be added features and changes in the clone, such as :
There should be a space on the right, to put the button ‘Register’
So people can become members.
Also, I want an ‘Add Friend’ button under people’s webcam, and when people are members, they can invite other people to be friends by cliking on ‘Add Friend’. This will send an invitation popup to the other person and if he accepts, they become in eachother’s friends list.
The friend list will be on the right ( where there is space for the register button ).
I also need everyone’s external IP adress in the database once they register… as well as other important informations of course like username etc.
The friend list is like a drop down menu and when we click on it, we see all the friends, online friends are on top with a green dot on the left, and offline friends on the bottom with a red dot on the left of their names.
We can left click the friends and if the friend is online, we can ‘Invite for conversation’ him.
A window will popup on his screen and he will be able to accept or decline, if he accepts, you both will be in a conversation together.
Also, I’d want a 3-friend-conversation:
For example if the 2 friends I just talked about are together, one of them can invite one of their friend and if he accepts, there will be 3 webcams on the left, and 3 voices… (If they have microphones…)
Also, at the top of the screen, an area where people can choose “I am a ‘Man’ looking for ‘Women'” etc.
When the people become members, of course there will be an option to check if they are a Man or a Woman.
For the people who use the website as “Stranger” (without registering), they should be able to check that they are a Man or a Woman, but they should not be able to select for example that they are a Man looking for Women, this option should be available for Members Only.
About the servers, would a good VPS server do the job to run the flash work well? I guess while the website doesn’t have too many users it should be fine anyway…
That would be all for now.
Flash, Flex, PHP, MySQL, and maybe AJAX for ‘Add Friend’ system.
I think 6 days is a reasonable time line.
