Web/gui Driven Database Of Warehoused Inventory And Logistic

We need an application to manage inventory that we will be warehousing for customers. There will be several hundred item types each with multiple attributes such as ‘composition’, ‘weight’, ‘date’, etc. Quantities of items would be received into the database, via a transfer event, and attached to customer accounts. Items could further be transferred between customer accounts, via a transfer event, with all events requiring PDF files to be attached to them (authorization and shipping/receiving records). Daily email reporting of cumulative transfer events along with drill-downs of all transfer events would need to occur.

Ideally, such transfer events would be very simple to the operator, involving drag and drop of items/codes into transfer containers where quantities would then be entered before the transfer event would finally be given a destination and finalized.

Internal transfers would always need to balance internally. External transfers would always require special validation and linkage to events existing outside of the system (i.e.: signatures for pickups, delivery receipts, tracking information).

All quantities of items within the system would be attached to specific customer accounts and locations. Transfers could occur between accounts, location, (both or either).

Billing reports would also be generated and journaled to a billing table, based on event types as well as item attributes and storage duration (time in our warehouse).

Ideally the system would be ran on open source software and hosted on such as well, and will be on local hardware on a local network.

Web based administration would be ideal.
