Web 2.0, Jquery,Ajax Attractive Theme & Logo.
Every page must be attractive with a home page with effects & social networking buttons.
Digg.com Api search Tools (Unique tools made with the Digg API)
if you can, use the digg API, and let users track when there blogposts get dugg, when it hits the frontpage etc.(track digg submissions from a URL(blog) on digg…)
Or similar feature to http://9rules.com/ (pull from various social bookmarking sites)
