Cl Auto Respond Script
I am looking for a script that will automatically reply with a standard reply to people’s CL ads.
It should:
reply to all pages of ads here: http://newyork.CL.org/reo/
and here: http://newyork.CL.org/abo/
and also other states TBD. (the URL of Craigslist whose ads it scrapes should be customizable e.g. I may enter in http://longisland.CL.org/ o http://newhaven.CL.org/reo )
You will need to grab the emails (even if there’s a captcha – i’m not sure whether CL has one but I don’t think so), and then reply from my email address.
This will also need to be able to reply from several different email addresses, as I think CL may limit the number of replies from one email address per day. I am not sure; you should be willing to work around any restrictions CL has. If it does, this script will need to switch email accounts for me and start using another of my email accounts for the rest of the emails.
Also, I will want to run these scripts once per day. So, there should be a way for it to only grab the ads from the time period, where that time period is customizable, or to not email people that it’s already emailed.
Also, one thing i’m wondering about is whether this script can run itself (so that I don’t have to start it up) daily. I keep my computer on all the time and they should start themselves up daily and run if that’s an option.
It can work with any email client (I’m on a PC and can do webmail or outlook).
