Adding Faux 3D Style to Your Vector Work (Illustration)

This tutorial covers the topic of creating depth in illustrations using Adobe Illustrator. Personally I refer to this style as Faux 3D. That is, the objects are intended to look three-dimensional; however, aren’t necessarily completely accurate with regard to light and shadow. I’ve found this technique to be extremely beneficial in giving my illustrations a bit of an edge. This will take roughly an hour depending upon your proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
