I’ve mentioned a number of components for creating libraries for displaying informational overlays, most recently JGProgressHUD which provides a number of different styles and animations.
Here’s an open source library that allows you to create informational overlays with a number of customization options called TAOVerlay from Taimur Ayaz.
TAOverlay allows you to choose from a number of different indicators to be included within your overlays, and you can customize text, change the background, add shadowing and blur effect, change text font, show custom images instead of the default icons, and more.
