So far this year I’ve mentioned a couple of excellent resources for working with maps the most popular of these being a library for high performance Map Kit annotation clustering, and a library allowing you to overlay directions on a map view.
Here’s an open source library from Oleg Poyaganov that allows you to add moving annotations to a map called OMAMovingAnnotations.
OMAMovingANnotations allows you to define a path for your annotations to follow and move those annotations which makes a nice way to illustrate a path on a map.
