Earlier this year I mentioned a fun open source pull-to-refresh component that plays pong atop of the view when the user pulls to refresh.
Here’s another geeky fun animated custom pull-to-refresh control called StargatePullToRefresh from hiddenMemory.
StargatePullToRefresh displays an animated Stargate when the user pulls down to refresh – spinning the inner layer to a randomized address, and locking each individual chevron as the user pulls down.
This animation from the read me shows StargatePullToRefresh in action (it looks a lot cooler on the device with a higher frame rate):
