With iOS 7 there have been some bugs popping up within UITextView Here’s a UITextView based component that can help you avoid many of these called ICTextView from Ivano Bilenchi.
In addition to being usable as a UITextView ICTextView supports regular expression and string search with highlighting, and you can customize the highlighting colors, refresh rate and more.
ICTextView can also help you to avoid some of the bugs that have popped up in UITextView with iOS 7.
