Facebook updates iOS app with post and comment editing… and more

It’s only taken forever, but Facebook for iOS fans can rejoice as their top request is now a reality: users can now edit posts and comments directly in the app. That’s thanks to a number of changes Facebook has introduced in version 6.6 of its iOS app.

In addition, users can also tap an edited post to see all their changes, add photos inline with a comment and use icons when posting on a friend’s wall. Here are the release notes in full:

What’s New in Version 6.6
o. Edit your posts and comments, and tap to see all your changes
o. Add a photo when you comment
o. Express yourself with icons when you post to someone’s timeline (English only)
o. Get to privacy shortcuts by tapping the lock by your name in the main menu
o. Bug fixes

Facebook for iOS is a free download.
