Last week I mentioned some example code demonstrating basic use of the new iBeacons API in iOS 7.
Here’s a tutorial from Christopher Mann that includes a similar example, and in addition explains the basics of using the iBeacon API.
To use the included example you’ll need two bluetooth 4.0 devices with one acting as receiver, and one to monitor.
