One of the features that has been touted in iOS 7 is automatic app updates like those on the Google Android platform. While this may be more convenient for users, it potentially removes a point of communication between developers and users since they’ll need to go to the app store to look at release notes if they want to know what has changed.
Here’s a handy open source iOS component called TWSReleaseNotes from Matteo Lallone that provides methods making it easy to check the app version, or whether this is the first time the app is launched, and allows you to present a nice clean view containing release notes defined either locally or loaded from the app store.
