I’ve mentioned some interesting open source iOS menu controls – most recently a slide out menu with great animations inspired by the Sparrow Mail app, and an open source control allowing you to easily create iconized popover menus.
Here’s an open source control from Ryan Nystrom called RNGridMenu inspired by the Sparrow Mail app that allows you to create very clean menus that can be laid out in a grid pattern with icons, simply as a group of icons, or text.
The menu is complete with animations, a nice background blurring effect when the menu is shown, and there are many customization parameters.
