I’ve mentioned a number of great libraries for working with Map Kit maps such as the excellent CalloutView for customized annotations.
Here’s a library submitted by Nic Hubbard of Zed Said Studio that allows you to easily make map kit annotation pins of different colors ZSPinAnnotation. This can be an issue when working with Map Kit especially if you want multiple pin colors on a single map.
You simply supply need to supply ZSPinAnnotation with the UIColor, RGB value, or hex value of to use, and it will return your colored annotation pin.
The included example shows how to use the custom pins on a MapKit map.
Here’s an image showing ZSPinAnnotation in action from the readme:
You can find ZSPinAnnotation on Github here.
A nice simple library with a userful purpose. Thanks to Nic for the submission.
