I’ve mentioned the free Stanford course for developers new to the iOS platform (but not new to programming).
Stanford was running an interactive version of that class which has been closed for registration, but recently they also added a free version of the course book to iTunes.
This was first announced last week, but I wasn’t able to check it out due to the book initially not being available in Canada.
You can find the course iBooks link on the home page here.
The book is very in depth with over 300 pages of material covering Objective-C, and iOS SDK basics.
I’m not sure if it’s available worldwide, but if you’re taking the Stanford course it should come in handy.
