Court orders Apple to rewrite ‘untrue’ notice about Samsung Galaxy Tab design

Court orders Apple to rewrite 'untrue' notice about Samsung Galaxy Tab designUK magistrate Judge Robin Jacob is not amused with the court-ordered statement Apple published, following the Samsung Galaxy Tab design ruling. Calling the statement “a plain breach of the order” and “incorrect,” Jacob has given Apple 24 hours to replace the statement, according to Bloomberg.

Apple’s statement acknowledged that the “High Court of Justice of England and Wales ruled that Samsung Electronic (UK) Limited’s Galaxy Tablet Computer, namely the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Tab 8.9 and Tab 7.7 do not infringe Apple’s registered design,” but went on to say, “So while the U.K. court did not find Samsung guilty of infringement, other courts have recognized that in the course of creating its Galaxy tablet, Samsung willfully copied Apple’s far more popular iPad.”
